Travel is the only thing you can buy that makes you richer 💫 What an emotional rollercoaster of a few days. I’m going to pretend I didn’t sit on the plane crying my eyes out as the realisation that my time in Australia was over came hurtling towards me. It’s safe to say I was very much in denial right up until the very end, still wearing my bikini and beach dress until only a couple of hours before I boarded my plane. My time in Australia was truly magical. I struggle to put into words just how perfect it was and it’s hard for me to describe exactly what it’s done for me without getting overly emotional but I am back in the UK a much stronger, shinier person. It was exactly what I needed and I haven’t felt so happy, confident and stress-free in a LONG time! I have my Emma sparkle back and I feel ready to face whatever is waiting for me in the UK head on. I met the most incredible people during my time in Australia, without whom my adventure wouldn’t have anywhere near as amazing and these people have become some of my closest friends. Thank you for helping to bring the real Emma back, for making me laugh till I cried, and for being the best support I could ever have asked for. I am so grateful to everyone who was a part of my journey, you know who you are and I love and miss you all dearly! My time in Australia really showed me the importance of living in the moment. As a result I didn’t post on here or on my blog nearly as much as I intended to but I am totally okay with that. This journey was for me and therefore I didn’t want to share every moment of it with the world. However, keep an eye out in my bio and for story updates for links to new blog posts. It was a longggg plane journey so I have many a blog post up my sleeve 😂 but for now, I’m trying desperately to fight this jetlag 💤
Today is my last day in Sydney *dontcrydontcrydontcry* 😭 . I don’t usually find it this hard to leave somewhere. Leaving the UK was easy. I needed to get away for a while, as far away as I could in order to heal, grow and find some direction in my life. As much as I’ve missed my family and loved ones I’ve not particularly been homesick during my travels. But leaving Sydney is hard. I think the best way I can describe is it reverse homesickness. I am so grateful to have been able to call this beautiful city my home for the past month and I feel as though I am leaving a chunk of my heart behind as I prepare to leave here. . Looking on the brighter side today was originally meant to be my last day in Australia, but I am so happy that I get to continue with my adventure for another 10 days - see you soon Brisbane! 💫
