I've learned a lot about forgiveness & the power it holds. The offenders go on w/ their lives as unbothered, whereas the offendee (recipient) lives in a state of hurt, anger or confusion! . . Well, NO ONE should have that much control over another! Keeping your mind & heart so twisted up, emotions all over the place bc of your pain, etc... #takeyourpowerback . . To the offendee I say: Forgive the person (people) that caused you hurt of any kind, pain & distress... Seek help from trusted people in your life, which may be a professional or two... Parents, you never know what emotional hurts your children harbor from childhood into adulthood.. . . We're not perfect... & in all the disciplining, correcting, guiding and directing, we HAVE TO remember to be supportive, loving & a listening ear... children today face more pressures than our generation ever did... . . All too often we judge them for their mistakes and behavior while failing to factor in our own accountability.. THEY ARE BC WE ARE!!! . . Stop being so quick to pass judgements on your children & name calling them or putting them down! Nothing angers me more than to see parents disrespecting their children, calling them every name but their own.. make me wanna slap some sense into that 'parent'.. we wonder why so many children act out, are violent & disrespectful, commit crimes, etc... some of them are acting out what's done to them on other ppl..... . . but I digress.... . . Instead, SPEAK LIFE into & over them... be there when they succeed & when they fail!! Love on them... lift them up... encourage them.... hold them accountable for their wrongs & correct them in love not anger... . .
