It's been FOUR MONTHS since I had major surgery on my left hip... 🤦🏾♀️ Despite a minor set back & having to have a 2nd surgery for wound revision, I have been walking without the aid of a walker or cane for the last 3 weeks 🙌🏾 (well ahead of the doctor's projections 💪🏾👏🏾😏🙌🏾) At my follow-up appt last week, the xray showed no fractures and no rejection of the prosthetic 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 Although I am still in the healing phase, I decided to do something I've not been able to do since last year...😳 I went for a walk by the lake. Even with people around, it was serene for me... It's been a journey... after the procedure in December for the AVM (see previous post) I noticed very dark rings & puffiness around my eyes, my skin & other things changed. Some very noticeable to others, but definitely by me... I cut my hair in January bc at even the slightest touch my hair was coming out in clumps 😟 It's been a journey... to look at this 'new me' with so many physical changes and still see my inward & outward beauty.... But then I was reminded of my value (by the Holy Spirit through God's Word & by loved ones)... and I remembered this: "She woke up every morning with the option of being anyone she wished. Entender que la muerte es un proceso natural, nacemos y moriremos es ley de vida. Otros dicen; es que fulano me hizo, es que fulano me dejo, fulano esto y fulano lo otro y usted para cuando va a asumir la parte de responsabilidad que tuvo en ello. No las personas no hacen usted las permite. Para cuando se van a responsabilizar de sus vidas Para cuando van a dejar las excusas. Es bien fácil acucurrarse en el papelito de víctima y sufridos para que hagan por usted o para justificarse. Pero sabe una cosa hasta que no sueltes ese papel no vas a salir adelante. Hasta que no aprendas a lidiar contigo mismo no dejarás de sufrir, de aceptar conductas, de permitir que te utilicen Y lo peor de todo seguir tomando decisiones equivocadas, buscando afuera lo que tienes que encontrar dentro de ti.
