Yes jag gjorde det tänkte jag och stängde av klockan när den sa att jag sprungit 15 km. Hade ca 2-300 m kvar hem men ville ha tiden för just 15 km. Sist jag sprang den sträckan för ca 10-12 år sedan var tiden 2:08. När jag väl kom hem och kollar Strava säger den att jag ”endast” sprungit 14.89 km. Va fasiken! Blev sååå besviken. Fattas 110 m. Fast att klockan sa 15 km. (Det är klockan som för över till Strava så uppgifterna kommer från samma). Men sen insåg jag att skit samma. Jag klara 15 km för jag räknar såklart med de 200 m som ej reggades. This is the scripture our family is focusing on memorizing and bringing into the life of our little family, our domestic church. The message is to *be* g e n t l e And I think this is what so many of us want to be, especially us women. However, our gentleness needs to be courageous. We need to extend our gentleness to even the one in *some transgression.* And we are called to *correct* g e n t l y As a mother this scripture needs to sit in my heart a l w a y s When a brother hits a little brother - approach with a gentle spirit When a child lashes out and expresses his anger by splashing water all over the bathroom - approach with a gentle spirit When a child back talks at you and you are at the end of your patience - approach with a gentle spirit I have never found a just cause to not approach gently. N e v e r. Let's extend this to our husbands, also a member of our Christian community. Whatever mistake he makes - approach him with a gentle spirit. I have personally witnessed the amazing changes of heart when my husband is approached gently. This is the Word of God. Whenever we aren't gentle we are either undisciplined or we are letting our passions have the best of us or we are not trusting Jesus. I fail at this most everyday. I pray for forgiveness, I right myself, I apologize and then I keep at it. Keep at being gentle. 2 weeks old ❤️ So blessed to have her in our lives. We are all so in love with her. The kids are absolutely smitten… even my oldest who wasn’t thrilled about another baby. 😅 When I first found out we were expecting again, I was not excited. I actually called my 2 best friends crying. 🤣 I had already reached that sweet spot in parenthood where our kids were all mostly independent. No more diapers, no more hovering, I could watch an entire movie without being interrupted, my kids were old enough not to mess with my decor, and nothing needed to be baby proofed. So the thought of starting over was completely overwhelming. PLUS I had just spent the last year selling all our baby stuff. I was worried when the excitement of a new baby was missing month after month… I kept thinking one day I would wake up and finally be EXCITED. When that never happened I was worried about how I would feel once the baby was here… would I resent having to start over? Was I going to be a horrible mom? That excitement finally came when I held her the first time. That scared and overwhelmed feeling is gone. Nothing but contentness and bliss remain. We are ecstatic with our newest addition even though she was a complete surprise. God’s plan was bigger than ours as usual. So I’m just here to say that if you’re feeling overwhelmed by your pregnancy and you aren’t feeling the excitement you think you should be experiencing… your feelings are valid!! And normal!!
