The Disney store has always been my favorite job I’ve ever had!!! I had a great manager named Pierre who constantly tested our ability to speak the disney language. An amazing cast of magical people who laughed as we folded tshirts and stacked those impeccable plush mountains at night. It’s true what they say, you are the people you surround yourself with, and the people at store #587 really shared magic and pulled magic out of one another. Finding new and creative ways to make that opening statement magical when answering the phone was something we seriously thought about and changed almost on a daily basis!!! The lessons I learned as a cast member have definitely helped shape me into my present magical self lol Like listening to let it go every 15 minutes will forever change the way you feel about a song. One of my goals this year is to organically increase my following to 5k at my one year anniversary from starting this page. It’s been steadily growing as I engage with all of you and share my love for ALL things Disney. My mother passed away at 16 and toy story reminds me of her, hence my obsession with all things toy story. 5. I enjoy collecting ears, I’ve started using them in the morning to pull my hair away from my face to do my makeup. 6. Week #3 of my Disney villains makeup look is inspired by the mistress of evil, Maleficent!!! I had a hard time with this one since I pulled her colors vs. her actual makeup look so everyone thought the look was Ariel or Ursula lol honestly this fun little project has made me step out of my comfort zone with color. My nugget and I are watching Toy Story 4 tonight!!! Every time I watch any of the Toy Story movies I think of my mom: I remember when the first one came out and my mom loved the parachuting toy soldier scene, I remember it being just the four of us (mom, brother, me, and sister) hanging out and watching the 2nd one all the time on a lazy Sunday. The 3rd and, now this 4th are very bitter sweet. It’s been 15 years without her but I feel like it’s all coming full circle as I watch this new installment of this wonderful franchise with my own child. That’s what makes Disney so magical, it bridges the past, present, and future in a way that allows us to honor our past and relive those memories made with those who’ve passed and are dearly missed. I know I’ll cry when I watch Toy Story 4, shoot I’m tearing up now thinking about all this lol but it’s happy tears from a moment I’ll share with my son and mother all at once when I see these characters on the screen.
