📌 Vulcano Fagradalsfjall 🌋 • Ecco qua alcune foto che ho fatto al vulcano Fagradalsfjall, che eruttò nel 2021. ⚠️ Nonostante la lava sia lì da circa 3 anni è ancora calda, per cui è sconsigliatissimo toccarla o salirci sopra (come il bambino nella terza foto), perché c'è il rischio che alcune parti si rompano e ci si ustioni. Infatti, come si può vedere, in alcune zone fuma ancora. Anche la lava solidificata va comunque a creare dei paesaggi spettacolari. 🌋😍 🗣️ In queste ore c'è una nuova eruzione in atto in Islanda, dopo le ultime che si sono verificate a fine 2023 e inizio 2024. Si pensa sia l'inizio di un periodo in cui queste saranno sempre più frequenti. Im Sommer 2021 machten wir eine unvergessliche Reise nach Island, die uns mit atemberaubender Natur und spannenden Abenteuern begeisterte. Mit unserem Auto erkundeten wir die faszinierende Insel, deren Landschaften von majestätischen Gletschern, wilden Küsten und brodelnden Geysiren geprägt sind. Wir entschieden uns, während unserer Reise zu zelten, um die Freiheit zu genießen, jeden Tag an einem anderen malerischen Ort aufzuwachen. Unter dem klaren isländischen Himmel und umgeben von der unberührten Natur fühlten wir uns lebendig und frei. Das absolute Highlight unserer Reise war jedoch der Vulkanausbruch, den wir hautnah miterleben durften. Als wir von dem spektakulären Ereignis erfuhren, machten wir uns sofort auf den Weg, um Zeuge dieser natürlichen Kraft zu werden. Das Glühen des Vulkans in der Dunkelheit und das Donnern der Lava, das den Himmel erhellte, waren beeindruckend und faszinierend zugleich. Fissure eruptions like these - as all six on the Reykjanes Peninsula in the last few years have been - do NOT affect flights to and from Iceland. Fine ash is not produced. This is completely unlike the events of 2010, when a very different kind of eruption happened under glacial ice. Once in Iceland, you can travel freely around the country without any problem. The only affected areas are around the town of Grindavík and the Blue Lagoon, which are both closed. We are in contact with all our clients in Iceland and those due to travel soon. Сегодня мой полет на вертолете над окрестностями Рейкьявика совпал с извержением вулкана Фаградалсфьялль. Оно началось этим утром. Ближайший к вулкану город Гриндавик был недавно эвакуирован. Никто не знает, переживет ли город очередной период активности Фаградалсфьялля. Мы подлетели как можно ближе к месту извержения. То, что вы видите на фото - это не огонь, а вырывающиеся наружу потоки лавы. Эта лава, растекаясь, буквально на моих глазах перерезала трассу на Гриндавик. Интересно, что в течение 800 лет на полуострове Рейкьянес вообще не наблюдалось никаких извержений. Mordor 🌋 Fagradalsfjall's volcano eruption Eruption du volcan Fagradalsfjall et retour sur la situation volcanique dans la région du Reykjanes, de 2021 à ces derniers jours 🌋 ⚠️Contrairement aux photos présentes et ce petit volcan inoffensif, ce n'est plus le cas de l'activité sismique depuis fin 2023... 4000 habitants toujours évacués, un village éventré, un homme disparu dans une faille, des maisons détruites... Toutes mes pensées pour les habitants. Ici, voici une partie des images prises en juillet 2021, lors de mon séjour express en Islande (10 jours en tout, 2 jours seulement consacrés au volcan), sur la piste des merveilles et extrémités géologiques de ce petit pays. Le 19 mars 2021, une éruption volcanique se produit dans le Reykjanes, région du sud-ouest de l'Islande proche de Reykjavik, la capitale. La dernière éruption dans la région avait eu lieu au XIIIème siècle. Ici, ce volcan de rift et né d'une fissure, baptisé Fagradalsfjall, crachera sans interruption de la lave durant 6 mois d'affilé, jusqu'au 18 décembre. A partir de mai 2021, l'activité s'intensifie, avec des fontaines de laves de plus de 300 mètres de hauteur, visibles depuis la capitale. Le record est de 460 mètre de hauteur. Le volcan, situé à 385m d'altitude est doté d'un diamètre d'environ 80m. Le 3 août 2022, suite à une crise sismique, une fissure de 300 mètres se reforme aux abords nord du volcan et une éruption refait surface près d'1km plus loin, formant un nouveau cratère de volcan, le Meradalir. L'éruption finit 3 semaines plus tard, au 21 août. En juillet 2023, toujours autour du Fagradalsfjall, une nouvelle faille s'ouvre sur 900m et libère une nouvelle coulée de lave très intense, qui se tarit rapidement et définitivement en 3 semaines également. I never thought I’d say the words, “I can’t believe I’m lucky enough to be in a country when there is a volcano erupting,” but in 2021 I got to visit #Fagradalsfjall. To say it was a unique experience is such an understatement. People hiking to the top of the caldera, Icelandic families all gathering around to have picnics, climbing on the still warm dried lava, and see the proof of earth turned to liquid from the pressure and heat was just so unbelievably cool.
