Thingvellir National Park (The Heart of Iceland) is where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet. It genuinely feels like you’re walking on another planet and was such an insane experience. We also were able to climb up and through a lot of the rocks, and spent a good chunk of our day there. Iceland’s Haukadular Valley is home to several notable geysers – or, geysirs, in Icelandic – including the Great Geysir, which is big, but erupts infrequently, and Strokkur, which is much more active and reliable. There are roughly thirty minor geysers in the geothermally active region, but my favorite was the Litli Geysir. You will walk right past it on your way to see Strokkur. Don’t blink, or you will miss it. During its eruptions, the Litli Geysir’s water might reach about four or five inches high. Day 107 - Reykjavik, Iceland. Today we explore the Golden Circle - a tourist route in southern Iceland covering a 190 mile loop from Reykjavík. First is Gullfoss (golden waterfall) where the tour’s name is derived. Second is the Strokkur geyser - erupting every few minutes; sign depicting services to include Reyka Small Batch Vodka. ;-) Third is the Pingvellir National Park (assembly of fields). The park lies in a rift valley that marks the boundary between North America and the Eurasian tectonic plates. Lastly, we await for ‘Aurora’ to show off her Northern Lights. Waterfall Wednesday with this early morning shot from Bruarfoss, Iceland. There are quite a few possible compositions at this location despite the fact that most are taken from the footbridge over the river. I used a longer lens for this shot to bring out the details of the cascade. This was a very cold, frosty morning and the micro-spikes were absolutely necessary to walk down from the car park. ⛈️ In questa giornata di novembre..ehm...aprile, ho ripensato a quanta pioggia ho trovato in viaggio, dalle Maldive a Cuba alla Cina alla Bulgaria...e tanti altri 😅 ma non in Norvegia, dove per una volta siamo stati incredibilmente fortunati ⛈️🌞 ⚡️Il culmine è stata l'Islanda a dicembre, periodo scelto per la neve e l'aurora boreale, ma abbiamo visto poco o niente di entrambe, tra pioggia e vento senza sosta. Il meteo è stato così impietoso che la partenza per Londra Gatwick è stata posticipata di ore e a Reykjavik a un certo punto ci siamo riparati nel Municipio per asciugare i vestiti con l'aria calda nei bagni pubblici. Iceland Travel Day3 冰島的深冬，天氣變化多端也相對惡劣，但我們在冰島的第二天，是紅色的早晨和陽光叫醒我們。 觀光點的黃金圈，遠不及沿途的風景和那可愛呆萌群聚的冰島馬，Gullfoss瀑布凍到看不見無法感受那壯觀的瀑布，和人很多看完，噴發就能走人的間歇泉，只能期望下一趟來時，能用更深度的方式旅遊黃金圈，午飯時農場的拉布拉多很可愛，大冰塊是他為之瘋狂的玩具，對比我們在零下的溫度吃著冰淇淋，真的是又冷又凍的反差。 有彩虹瀑布之稱的Skógafoss瀑布，彩虹說不上明顯，風卻大到把人吹到連站都站不了，一路上的結冰，看著沒有冰爪的人相繼摔倒，沿路還能看到冰上摔傷結凍的血痕，真的還好出發前有買了多個簡易冰爪，才沒有落得掛彩。 雖然沒見到彩紅本身，但黃昏的紅更加顯眼，讓我們驚嘆的離開瀑布後一路追著夕陽，再追到晚上極光，一樣很幸運得第二晚極光更明亮顯眼，是怎樣的運氣能連兩晚都見到。 慶幸有這些運氣在這趟旅程中，彌補了那一天旅途過程中的一些小遺憾。 #photography #photographer #Fujifilm #fujifilmtw #fujifilmxseries #xeries #fujifilmid #fujifilmxt5 #xf33mm14 #xf55200 #iceland🇮🇸 #icelandtravel #iceland #icelandmountains #goldencircle #goldencircleiceland #skógafoss #sunset #icelandsunset #aurora #icelandaurora #gullfoss #冰島 #冰島環島 #冰島自駕 #冰島攝影 #冰島旅行 #黃金圈 #冰島黃金圈 #富士相機
