Never miss visiting The Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall if you are in Taipei. Here you will learn the history of Taiwan and appreciate their arts and history at the museum. This is my 2nd visit in Taipei and I still enjoy seeing these monuments. And I am so glad I get to re-visit Taiwan with my daughter now. Taichung is such beauty! On our 2nd day, we head to Zongshe Flower Market, located in Houili District, Taichung Taiwan. Entrance: 120 NTD / 220 Pesos We were here early so we’re able to enjoy the photo spots before the flocks of tourist. Finally got the chance to visit Miyahara. It’s where history meets specialty sweets and shopping. 🍨 Miyahara (宮原眼科) was once an ophthalmology clinic back in the day (1927), but it is a popular tourist attraction today. Fortunately, a pastry company renowned for its pineapple cakes, acquired the building and preserved Miyahara’s original red-brick walls and archway. With this, the store perfectly blends the traditional vintage and modern elements aesthetics. I specifically went because the interior decor was redesigned like Hogwarts in the movie Harry Potter. ☺️ We also queued to get a taste of Taichung’s most popular ice cream and now we know why. 💯 If ever you’re in Taichung, this is a must visit. Rug Tufting dream done! This has been on my list for quite some time now but I can’t find the time to make it to any workshop. When I came across @doesart2023 on Instagram, I just had to finally give it a go and book one of their classes. It was a plus that Seth asked to join me. And so we went!! 👏 I wanted to challenge myself and to choose a larger piece to tuft. We chose a design that will remind us of our family dog, Bailey. Obviously, my aging back regretted the consequences of a large project! LOL. It took Seth and me 4 hours to finish our very own masterpiece - which we can bring home to Bailey! How fulfilling 🫶 Our teachers Xiaoyu and Bobo were extremely helpful and they made the whole learning experience really fun.
