New Orleans: Day 2. To the bayou! Spent the morning exploring the curving waterways and seeing SO. MANY. GATORS! And a massive snapping turtle, too. After the tour, we headed downtown to enjoy the French Quarter Fest - so many stages scattered all around downtown, tons of delicious food, and discovered a fantastic Cajun Pop band thanks to Jennie! Ended the night in the cemeteries on our Nola Ghost Riders tour. Yesterday mom and I did a swamp tour (gator tour) south of the city. The swamp we visited was owned by the tour company and they had turned it into a sanctuary for the gators so they could live there unharmed and grow as big and fat as they wanted. โค๏ธ Our guide has been working with gators his entire life and the ones we visited yesterday (particularly mama) heโs been working with for 10 years so they know his voice and trust him. It was honestly fascinating and SO fun. Highly recommend if you are in the city and donโt mind a 30 min ride down south. #gatorsandghosts #nola #gators #mama

This pretty sums up my 37 years on this earth, doing crazy things that many wont do. For my bd I went to New Orleans since I always wanted to experience that city and that vibe, so thanks to one of my best friends that reminded me about it, I went. Honestly I can say New Orleans is one hell of a city, my kinda town in the sense that gets live at night but if you're an early riser there are also activities to do, like go visit gators at the swamp or visit plantations. Being able to hold a live gator, not in captivity and just living free in the swamp and then let him go free without any harm, was the highlight of my trip. So once again, this is one very High moment on my life and I know there will be another time which will be a great low, but thats me and my life. Fuck living in the middle , that's not for me.
