The Grilled Top Sirloin steak bites with mashed potatoes!! I have had this dish at Food & Wine Festival every year for the last 3 years! They keep bringing it back and for good reason!! It’s AMAZING! Find it at the Garlic Kissed Booth in Disney California Adventure’s Food & Wine Festival at the Disneyland Resort! This has great flavor and is quite filling despite it’s small portion appearance. The Frozen Old Fashioned ice cream bar!! Yum! This was so delicious. The bar itself has a very classic vanilla ice cream flavor although it is technically a (non- alcoholic) bourbon flavored ice cream bar! The Gluten Free Monte Cristo from Cafe Orleans at Disneyland! The first time I got this, it was just ok. But I really wanted to love this, so I gave it a second and good thing!!! I OFFICIALLY LOVE it!!! It was so so good!! Actually it was so good it was hard to believe that this was Gluten Free!! 🍓 Now let’s talk about how to get this? First you must make a reservation to eat here, try to snag one 60 days before your trip. Then about 1-2 weeks before your trip send an email to Disney dining with your reservation number and the date you plan to be there and tell them you would like to order the GF Monte Cristo. And the best part is that it’s listed on the Allergy menu so you can Mobile order this!! Win Win! And it pairs nicely with the Baymax Macaron! The Baymax Macaron from Lucky Fortune Cookery in San Fransokyo Square in Disney California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort! This is a vanilla macaron with chocolate hazelnut spread and buttercream. Although this is not labeled gluten friendly, On the day I visited I asked to see the ingredient list and found no gluten listed. And after speaking with chef I found that this macaron is in a same situation as the Raspberry Macaron over at Disneyland. Made in a central bakery and subject to possible cross contamination. If you are willing to take a risk on the Raspberry Macaron then you might consider taking a risk on this one. You can also ask to speak with a chef and ask to see a current ingredient list to be sure no ingredients have changed. I will likely be doing this each trip. But on this day, I had no problem eating this and I shared it with my friend because it was fairly large and very sweet. But it was really good! The New Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World! This place was such an AMAZING experience!! The food had TONS of Gluten Free options!! Honestly most of the options were naturally GF!! And 3 of the 4 mini pies in jars are also GF!! And everything tasted fantastic!! 🐎 Fun Fact! The head chef here has a close family member (I believe his Mom) has celiac disease and he made it a point to have a phenomenal GF menu that would make her proud 🥰 🐎 And the experience was so fun!! 7 Greens Gumbo with Chicken and Andouille Sausage from Tiana’s Palace at Disneyland! Gluten Free Version!! This was full of flavor! Absolutely delicious!! The sausage is where the spice was! I don’t love when things are spicy and this was about the max spicyness that I could handle. I did run over to Rancho del Zocalo to get an horchata (skip the food line and go straight to the beverage counter) to calm the spicyness while I ate because I don’t do well with too spicy of foods. And it was a perfect meal!! If you can’t handle any spicyness then this might not be for you or ask for extra chicken and no sausage 😉 (but you will have to go through the line, not mobile order) ⚜️🎺👑 The plant based 7 greens gumbo (which is also vegan FYI) is on the Gluten-Friendly allergy menu however this version with meat is not. Which I thought was odd. So here’s what I did…. 🎺 I Mobile ordered the normal one first thing in the morning for around 5 pm (which is when I wanted to eat). When it was my pickup time I went into the restaurant and asked to speak with a chef, BEFORE hitting that Blue “I’m here” button. He was very kind and happy to help me. I asked why this is not considered GF because I felt it should be. He said it’s because they do not have a permanent supplier for the sausage and the sausage can come from different suppliers at anytime and sometimes the sausage May contain a food starch that is wheat based 😬. He then asked me to give him a minute and he would check the current sausage. On the day I was there the sausage was indeed Gluten Free!! He then asked for my order number and told me to go ahead and hit the “I’m here” button after which he went and informed the staff of my allergy and they prepared my food safely. Unfortunately the Galactic Grill did remove the GF loaded breakfast sandwich from their mobile order menu, however you can still get this if you go to the counter and order it. May the 4th Be with you! Let’s check out some of my FAVORITE Star Wars food from Galaxy’s Edge! 🪐Smoked Kaduu Pork Ribs. This dish is one of my favorites but it is only found in Walt Disney World’s Galaxy’s Edge. This dish is not found on the GF menu but if you speak to the chef they can modify it for you. 🪐Felucian Kefta & Garden Hummus! This is normally served with a Pita but you can speak to the chef and order it without, making this tasty dish Gluten Free! It is also Plant based! But don’t let these fool you, they taste like meat, I honestly couldn’t tell and the were SO FULL of Flavor!! 🪐Endorian Roasted Chicken salad! This is probably one of the tastiest salads I have ever eaten! The chicken was roasted to perfection and this salad was just so full of flavor!! I would definitely get it again! 🪐Blue (or green) Milk. This actually has no milk in it. It is a slushy type of drink. I really liked it! It is unofficially GF. There is no gluten listed however it does have oats in it not certified GF oats. However I did not have a problem drinking this. 🪐Soda. Obviously you can get soda anywhere but I just love the cute bottles that they come in! 🪐 There is more GF options in Galaxy’s Edge, like popcorn! The Snickers Macaron from The Nuts About Cheese booth at Food & Wine Festival at Disney California Adventure Park! This is 10/10 AMAZING!!! This is a chocolate macaron filled with Caramel ganache and Snickers pieces! 🍫🥜 Last year these were labeled Gluten Free and I have been looking forward to eating this again for a whole year! When I saw that this year they were not labeled GF I was very disappointed. But hopeful they were still unofficially GF. 🍫🥜 When the Festival started, I had several Gluten Free friends tell me that they took a risk, ate it and had no problems. When I got to the festival I was able to talk to a Lead CM at the Festival and he was able to get an ingredient list and read it aloud to me. No gluten was listed so I ate one almost every day of my trip! I had zero problems eating them! 🍫🥜 So that begs the question. Why are they not labeled GF? One reason could be possible cc at the central bakery where they are made. Another possible reason could be possible changing of ingredients due to ingredient shortages. Whatever the reason this is not labeled GF. Most macarons at Disneyland are not labeled GF and have always been an “eat at your own risk” treat. That being said, I personally have eat MANY macarons at Disneyland and I have never gotten sick from a macaron. 🍫🥜 What do you think? Have you tried this? The Strawberry Horchata from Cocina Cucamonga! This is actually part of the Food & Wine Festival but you get it from Cocina Cucamonga and it is available on mobile order as well! It is labeled Gluten Free/friendly. I love the regular horchata from here and even more so from Rancho del Zocalo! This is basically their regular horchata with some strawberry syrup and strawberries in it. I honestly was disappointed. I have had very delicious versions of Strawberry Horchata here at home made from fresh blended strawberries! And it’s one of my favorite Springtime drinks. I was hoping this would be similar but it was not. It wasn’t bad. But not nearly as good as the fresh Strawberry Horchata I have had from local restaurants here in my hometown. Cheeseburger on a Gluten Free bun with GF fries (yes, dedicated fryer here!) from Galactic Grill in Tomorrowland at Disneyland! This burger was a very good decent burger. They did recently change the bun on this. It is the same bun they are using over at Jolly Holiday for their GF grilled cheese sandwich. For a grilled cheese, I absolutely love this bun. However, for a burger it was very thin and made it difficult to eat this without everything falling out if it. The bun itself was tasty. It was soft and moist and had great flavor. I just didn’t like how thin it was. Other than that, I actually enjoyed this burger. Edit: This was not a “new” bun, this was an alternate bun when they don’t have their normal bun. So you might get this bun, you might get the normal bun. The GF Jolley Holiday Combo has a NEW bun for their GF Grilled Cheese Sandwich and I officially LOVE it!! I personally think it is way better than the old one and it is actually grilled!! The soup is phenomenal as always! But I was never really a fan of how they made the GF grilled cheese. But now… it’s almost perfect!! Very much a huge improvement!! This is actually the same thin bun that they use for the burgers at Galactic Grill and as a burger bun I wasn’t a huge fan but as a grilled cheese! Absolutely delicious!! Parmesan Toasted Patty Melt on a GF bun from Carnation Cafe at Disneyland! And swipe to see the Allergy Menu! I was told that almost anything on the menu can be made GF! This was a very messy sandwich but man it was delicious!! So much flavor! I was a little disappointed that the frys are not made in a dedicated fryer and so are not GF. They gave me fruit instead. The fruit was fresh and nice but I definitely missed having frys. This seems to be a recurring thing at sit down restaurants. The GF main dish is always great but no frys 😢. I wish @disneyland @disneyeats would do better with this and have dedicated fryers for their frys at the Table service restaurants. Luckily if you want frys you can find them at several quick service locations. Would I eat here again? Maybe. The Tigger Tail from Pooh Corner at Disneyland! This is unofficially Gluten Free. I asked to look at the ingredients list and there is no gluten listed. But there is a possible cc warning. I had no problem eating this. It was like a regular marshmallow wand (dipped in caramel and chocolate) but with a chocolate orange flavor! Yum!! It was delicious! Today is the opening day of Food & Wine Festival at California Adventure at @disneyland and I am so excited that they brought this delicious Snickers Mickey macaron back however I was very disappointed to hear from @glutenfreeandthemouse that these are not listed as Gluten-friendly. My guess that it has a similar allergy warning as the Raspberry Rose one in that it has a possible cc warning because of the central bakery where it is made. My guess it is still unofficially GF and I will for sure be investigating this when I am there in a week! It is VERY IMPORTANT that you order these from the Allergy menu and make sure they know about your Gluten allergy/intolerance. Just like the Raspberry Rose Macaron this is not labeled GF because of the possible cc from the central bakery that these come from. Gluten Free Pesto Pasta with Chicken! I got this from Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta in DCA! This is not one of the normal GF options here but after speaking with the chef, she said that she could make this for me because the pesto sauce is GF! This was fantastic! I really enjoyed it!! 🍝🍕 After speaking with the chef, I was given a receipt and a buzzer (swipe to see) so that I could pay for my meal and then easily pick it up once it was done!! I loved that they had buzzer’s because I was able to join my family instead of just waiting inside the restaurant.
