Definitely an experience, turns out its more like a 13 hour ferry trip when you take the checking in, waiting, boarding and disembarking elements too. There are no words for today really, apart from the "side mission" this morning to save those 4 kittens.. the rest of stage it's a bit of a blurr 🥹🙈 too many emotions! England France Switzerland Italy and the Vatican.. finally 100% completed! Albania ---> loading! 3341 km Over 5.345.600 steps And we "finally" ran out of land! Actually funny as we entered Italy on the 17/06 and we finished on the 17/09! Ciao Italia! We only had a little more than 2 weeks in this beautiful country and will be definitely coming back. So we continued our way in the direction of France! But first, we said goodbye to all of the animals 🐸🐓🫏 Once we crossed the border to known territory, we took our time and found a picnic spot with a magnificent view 🏔️ And in the evening, we arrived in Aix en Provence and received a very warm welcome from our friends, Paul and Marine as well as Marine's parents (we stayed with them for the weekend). Ciao, Domodossala! We had a gorgeous evening with some amazing food and wine, and slept in the cutest rooms! I was awoken after midnight by a terrific thunderstorm, which raged for over two hours…but awoke again to glorious sunshine and church bells ringing. 🔔 Cappuccinos and chocolate croissants, then onto our train headed towards Genève. Thursday we said goodbye... to Lido di Jesolo and to Italy. We went back home two and a half weeks earlier than expected. Our daughter got the chicken pox. It just didn't seem right to stay at camping sites and have her stay in the van. As you might know, it can take 2-3 weeks for them to develop symptoms after getting infected. Most likely, our son would get them too. So we used the Thursday to pack, have a delicious #campingdinner, take a last dip in the pool, say goodbye to the 🏖 and sea 🌊 and in the evening we started. The kids slept almost the whole drive through and we managed to get them in there beds without complications. Travelling by evening and night has its huge advantages. #travelwithkids #goodbyeitaly #familyvanliving

TY Tour 2023 🌞 Days 3 and 4 The last 2 days of the tour brought the sunshine. After a trip to Gardaland, the final day brought us to the beautiful town of Sirmione which is know for it's 13th-century Scaligero Castle and the Roman ruins of the Grotte di Catullo. 🏰 taking a boat ride helped us see the town from all sides as it is surrounded by the water of Lake Garda 🛥 Finally no tour is ever complete without a shopping trip.
