📍Skógafoss ~ Watervallen . Jippie weer on the road na een fijne overnachting. We reden richting Skógafoss en kwamen ervoor langs Seljanlandsfoss de waterval waar je onderdoor kan. Uiteraard zie je de meest vanzelfsprekende foto’s. Hoewel ik die in gedachten had laten de kids ons leiden. Niet puchen en dan maar niet HET perfecte plaatje maar dan het perfecte plaatje zoals wij hem goed vinden. Wat een avontuur, de weg naar de waterval, de regenboog die je zo mooi zag en dan erachter. Klein beetje spannend en eng vond onze jongste het maar toen hij zag dat hij er achter stond was hij trots. Daarna reden we naar de grote hoge waterval. Maeson wilde perse met de trap omhoog, en geloof mij dit was heel erg hoog. Maar wat ben ik trots op hem zelf omhoog en naar beneden. Ik heb geen hoogte vrees maar eenmaal boven kreeg ik de bibbers toen maeson daar stond het idee dat hij zou uitglijden . Wat hebben we genoten van het uitzicht. J16: Aujourd'hui nous arrivons à Loreto, sans en savoir grand chose, nous n'étions donc pas prêts pour la claque qu'on a pris en voyant cette basilique grandiose 😲🤓. Nous avons donc fait nos recherches, et il s'avère que cette petite ville est un haut lieu de pèlerinage chrétien, puisque la "maison" que l'on voit dans la nef de la basilique serait celle où l'annonciation fût faite à Marie et où vécut Jésus 😲 elle aurait été rapportée de la terre sainte en 1291. C'était même le premier lieu de pèlerinage chrétien, avant Canterbury, Rome ou Saint jacques de Compostelle 🤓. #latepost I was chatting with someone today who was keen to go to Budapest and wanted some pointers and I realised I never got around to finishing my Budapest series….so here are the last few posts… Pic 1 - 4: Labyrinth Caves - My 9 year old was very very keen to go into the caves…..and he absolutely loved it! It is part of a huge network of underground caves and tunnels in the Buda Castle District. A lot of the reviews recommended a tour, however we just explored on our own and it was perfectly fine! Pic 5 - 8: Szimpla Kurt - Budapest’s original ruin bar - a large dilapidated building, with an open courtyard and labyrinth of rooms, with eclectic mismatched furniture, loads of graffiti and edgy artwork. Its a site to behold and a must visit venue for a few casual drinks in the evening or on the Sunday market day to just soak in the atmosphere. We popped in during the Sunday market - I loved it, though the kids thought it was a bit weird lol Pic 9, 10: Shoes on the Danube bank - A stark and poignant memorial to the 3,500 victims, many of them Jews, instructed to remove their shoes before being shot towards the end of World War II #menusandmiles #budapestadventure

Ta’ Pinu - बॅसिलिका - बऱ्यापैकी आधुनिक काळात बांधलेली (१९३२) हि बॅसिलिका म्हणजे डोळ्याला अक्षरशः treat आहे, सुबक आणि आकर्षक अशा रोमानेस्क वास्तुकलेची हि सुंदर इमारत भूमध्य समुद्राच्या background ला शोभेल अशी उभी आहे. हि इमारत जरी नवीन असली तरी याचे ऐतिहासिक महत्व अगदी ५ शतकापासून आहे जुन्या काली demolish झालेले chapel काही दैवी घटनांमुळे अचानक शेकडो लोकांचे श्रद्धास्थान बनले आणि या सुंदर वास्तूची निर्मिती यातून झाली ३. Feb 11: Seattle to Mount Hood. Woke up to a beautiful sunny morning in Seattle. At the start of the trip we were on a tight timeline to get to California in time for a music festival, with a side quest in Bend, OR. We did make time for a great espresso and a stop at some new-to-us American stores. It was out first Harbor Freight (for Travis) and our first Hobby Lobby (for me). After some discussion "we" decided that "we" probably didn't need to decorate the truck in a new theme... Our son and @tuktheterrible settled right into #vanlife. They loved looking out the windows and watching the world go by. We skirted around Portland and headed to Mount Hood where we stopped at Government Camp for the night. Let’s talk children’s museums! Do you like them? Love them? Hate them?! What’s the best exhibit you’ve ever seen at a children’s museum? Have you had a great or terrible experience? On our Mississippi River road trip, our youngest turned 5 on the road! I was searching for something fun and extra kid-friendly to celebrate… our older two kids had been to children’s museums years ago, but my youngest had only been to an outdoor one! Took a gamble and decided to visited @knockknockchildrensmuseum and I am SO glad we went! The kids played, climbed, and engaged in dramatic play for hours and hours on end! I was so impressed with the veterinary play center and our just-turned-5-year-old was too.. she stayed in there for almost 2 hours! As much as I love all of the history, science, and protected natural spaces we’ve been experiencing this trip, it was fantastic to have a place for the kids to let loose & PLAY like crazy! Arigato, Tokyo 🇯🇵🫶🏼 🍜🍣 First international trip with Ethan was a success! Everyone talks about Japan being very baby friendly and it’s true. We were able to take his stroller almost everywhere. Although at times it was annoying to maneuver through crowds, it was doable. The only tough part was finding elevators at the train station but thanks to our many friends, they carried Ethan up and down the stairs like a chariot. We found local parks for Ethan to get his wiggles out. Many restaurants are small and not considered baby friendly but we were pleasantly surprised how accommodating they were when they saw Ethan. We brought our own clip on high chair which ended up being a great idea. Plenty of baby changing stations that are all clean (esp compared to the US). There is an app that you can use to find the nearest nursing and diaper changing stations (Mamapapamap) 👶🏻 We caught the tail end of cherry blossoms. Highly recommend doing a cooking class in Tokyo. We did a ramen and gyoza cooking class 🥟 with @tokyocookingstudio. So much good food in Japan, it’s overwhelming lol. Every street is filled with levels and levels of food. We had some bomb meals in Tokyo. Those food pics deserve their own post 😉 keep an eye out for part ✌🏼
This is 35 ~ ✌🏻😄 Aging is an absolute privilege and so is being a Mama to these two beautiful girls - they will always be my greatest gift!! I love a no fuss chilled out birthday so we spent a big chunk of the day hanging out the back of the kombi at the beach.. 💦☀️👌🏻 .. Zu made me a handmade card from her and Ze, I just LOVE it so much, I really cherish the words of her 4 year old brain 🌈❤️😍…
