Iba dispuesta a sacar todo lo tóxico que traía en la plataforma, pero, cuál fue mi sorpresa? Que ya no me importa. La magia del Inner Walk... Y caminé feliz durante 3 hrs pensando en el privilegio que es poder caminar... Y la última hr mi cuerpo sucumbió ante el dolor de la caminata, el calor infernal (43°c), el martirio del tiempo... 20km. De pronto, el gong sonó a lo lejos. Terminó. No es meditar, es respirar y caminar por tus pensamientos, tus historias. Walk your stories. Todo es muy simple, pero la mente lo complica todo. Vivimos en nuestras historias, no en el aquí y el ahora. La caminata te ayuda a despertar cada vez que llegas al borde y debes dar la vuelta. Pum! Despiertas... Luego regresas a la historia y de nuevo llegas al borde de la plataforma y despiertas... Y así, entre 7mil y 8mil veces, durante 4 días... Entrenas a la mente para dejar de vivir en las historias y despertar... Sueltas el control. Fluyes. Regresé a Wonderland y entré a la sesión de Re-birthing... Cheryl se acuerda perfecto de mí, agradecí sus palabras, la bienvenida que me dio a la sesión, su sonrisa... Y en la sesión no pasó nada más que dolor... Yo, luchando para no quedarme dormida y mi cuerpo ahí, aparentemente, agonizando de dolor (recordemos que mi umbral del dolor es absurdamente alto). En realidad solo se reflejaba el dolor en una mano, todo el cansancio del día se concentró ahí. Tres rondas de cold plunge y vapor arreglaron todo mi cuerpo, cené y me vine a escribir las historias. El dolor está ahi, pero el sufrimiento es opcional. Buenas noches Wonderland. Gracias. Some may have noticed I haven’t been posting here much. I am slowly winding down. Many of you know my eldest daughter lives in Australia. She is getting married this coming Autumn and I couldn't be happier for her. As a result I am taking a sabbatical of sorts, putting my life in storage, and leaving the country for several months. Tuvimos mucha suerte, pues el monje abrió la sesión y fue toda una experiencia escucharlo y verlo en persona. Solo lo había visto por zoom hace casi 3 años. Cosas que hay que recordar: - Tú no eres tus pensamientos - No te aferres. Disfruta - No te tomes las cosas tan en serio... En fin... La práctica de Inner Walk es una meditación en la que caminas 4hrs seguidas durante 4 días seguidos, en un espacio de 15m. Vas y vienes... Sirve para aclarar la mente, para calmarla, para ver lo que realmente importa... Pensé que, físicamente, no estaba lista, pero sí... 4hrs caminando sin detenerme... Conté los pasos, las vueltas, traté de medir el tiempo, como buena controladora que soy, pero al final me rendí ante la práctica. 20km. Me moría de hambre, me dio sueño, en algún punto se me hincharon los dedos de las manos, si trataba de detenerme sentía que me mareaba... Pero la felicidad de haberlo hecho es insuperable... Y, qué venía a mi mente mientras caminaba? Solo el control del tiempo, de la vida... El resto de la tarde me la pasé en el agua, tratando de digerir la experiencia. En la noche Layla me invitó a celebrar su cumpleaños en la cena. No podemos parar de reir. Siempre la mesa latina es la más escandalosa y la más divertida, obvio. Ella es de Argentina, pero vive parte del tiempo en Tel Aviv. Todos los israelíes están de vacaciones acá. Vino una de sus amigas al festejo y se nos juntó la francesa. Pfff, somos dinamita juntas 😂. Surviving & Thriving: A Year of Resilience Journal #22 Today marks a significant milestone in my journey – it’s been a year since I was diagnosed with cancer. As I watch the sunrise, its golden rays reflecting off the calm ocean waves, I can’t help but feel a sense of hope and gratitude filling my heart. Despite the challenges I have faced over the past year, I’ve made a conscious effort to create positive thoughts each day. It hasn’t been easy, going through treatments and uncertainties, but I’ve learned to find beauty in the smallest moments. Life has thrown me curveballs, testing my strength and resilience, yet here I am, embracing the dawn of a new day with renewed optimism. The sunrise serves as a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there’s always light on the horizon. With each sunrise comes a fresh start, full of possibilities and promises waiting to unfold. When you can’t up and leave the country for months on end like Julia Roberts, you improvise. We laughed, we ate, we cried and we loved all of the beautiful surroundings. This was one of the best weekends of our lives. It wasn’t about getting out of town to discover something new, but more like coming home to ourselves. The most healing trip there ever was. We saw waterfalls, went to a concert, stayed on an small island in the forest, browsed pikes market, took a road trip to the coast and stayed in the twilight town (Forks), visited the most beautiful beaches and more!
