I’ve been traveling a lot for out of town design jobs and family obligations this past month and there never seems to be enough time to snap pics, so here what came up in my memories today🌿🌿🌿 I always get lots of questions about our 11 foot island in our great room. It’s almost impossible to find an antique farm table this height because they were all dining table height. Most antique counter height pieces have cabinetry underneath or shelving. I had the vision that this would be the hub of our home if I could only find something counter height that we could all gather around. I was adamant about not settling for something new or custom built. So my dear friends @louisandlavender who sell the most beautiful European tables came up with an amazing solution! I fell in love with this French country pine pedestal farm table from them @antiquedesignct but needed it to be counter height. Jerry and Donna said ok let’s think about this….they called a friend in High Point who is a woodworker to see if it could be done. He came by and said that it would take some doing, but yes, he could add a square block right underneath the table that would raise it the 6” we needed. I trusted them to make it work and we could not be happier!
