Ask me a year ago, I never thought I'd end up in South Africa! Landed in Johannesburg. Traversed golden savannas. Scoped out the big five (5) on two safaris because obviously one isn't enough 😅. Stayed in a Zulu community, learning how to make paper from Elephant dung and playing football with the locals. I went through immigration so that I could visit a country within a country, Eswatini formerly Swaziland. Explored Table mountain in Cape Town and the beach by Camps Bay (my absolute favorite), hiked down by the Cape of Good Hope. Listen, lol this isn't even the half of it but I'll spare you the itinerary list. Continue living vicariously through me for a moment more. One of the many breathtaking moments of this trip was observing the night sky. Absolutely spectacular! It's like you could see all the galaxies. Super clear. A warm summer night's sky in Toronto could not rival, as much as I love those as well. What I realized was that sometimes you have to remove yourself from the environment that you've become comfortable in and grown to love, in order to fully see and experience the matchless wonders of God. Jesus was not able to do any mighty work except to lay his hand upon a few sick folk in his home town because of their unbelief. Don't limit what God can do in your life because of the environment, situation, or people you are surrounded by. If you have to switch seats or location to get a better view of who God is, then do it. God doesn't allow anything to separate us from his love so let nothing hold you back from fully receiving and experiencing his love. P.s. Today we did close to 430kms after leaving Durban to Eswatini (Swaziland). Truly unbelievable the standard of roads here just like super highway. Fast clearance in CIQ both South Africa and Eswatini. Arrived at Hlane National park where we will be staying the night and meet the Game Park manager for the planning during Trans Africa 7 in coming May. These rhinoceroses were thought to be extinct, until the late 1900s, when someone discovered a group of 80 in South Africa. 🦏 Thanks to breeding programmes and a considerable amount of protection and work, these animals are now safe, but still remain under a constant threat of poaching for their horns and require ongoing protection. It was absolutely incredible to see so many rhinos in #HlaneNationalPark, and the highlight was seeing a group of 13 rhinos lazing around the waterhole right next to our camp. 🥹🫶🏼 #HlaneRoyalNationalPark #NdlovuCamp #Eswatini #Swaziland

Hlane National Park, Eswatini 🇸🇿 The small, landlocked country of Eswatini is home to the incredible Hlane National Park. We knew that this was the place to spot rhino, which a notoriously few and far between in Kruger, but we didn’t appreciate just how close we’d be able to get to them here! Even in 2023, rhinos are at a high risk of being by poached, so most places de-horn them to increase their chances of survival. Infelizmente não possui fundos para financiar tal investimento. É apaixonado por elefantes, assim como eu sou, e me disse que em sua casa substituiu as fotos da família por manadas de elefantes 🤣. Bull é o retrato de muitas pessoas de países africanos. Inteligentes, extremamente talentosos mas que devido ao baixo investimento do estado, torna seu potencial limitado.
