Zum Abschied vom ganz hohen Norden sollte es noch als Umweg eine Panoramafahrt zum Nordkapp geben. Losgefahren sind wir bei strahlend schönem Wetter. Am Ziel angekommen war es bewölkt. Tief hängende Wolken. Ganz tief hängende. Der auf dem rund 300 Meter hohen Felsen stehende Globus verschwand immer wieder und tauchte nur kurz wieder auf. I love Norway during winter. I stayed in Honningsvåg in March 2023. Just for a week which was too short to explore the most northern tip of Europe. The AirBnB was small and cosy. Just enough to be really comfortable. I drove up to Skarsvåg one afternoon. Walked to the beach. Watched the sunset. The northern lights danced in the skies. I was enchanted by this remote place and will get back for some whale watching during summer. I have learned two things on this trip. Potato’s don’t like low temperatures (-32 C). The starch will dissolve into sugar and they become inedible. And if you can’t get up the snowy hill to your apartment with your car. 11 Uhr sollte die Piste zum Nordkap offen seim, die letzten 25 km. In der norwegischen Travel app war schon weiter unten alles dicht. 11 Uhr stand da, wird neu entschieden. Puh. Wir waren pünktlich an der Schranke,,dort standen 2,3 PKW und 2 Wohnmobile. Schranke war zu bis 12.30. Es gibt ein zeitfenster für Selbstfahrer , 12.30 Reisebusse. Heute fuhren alle zusammen. Oben gabs also keine Chance , das standart Selfie am Globus zu machen. Brauch keiner. Nach 90min musste der Konvoi wieder über die Berge zurück. Vorn ein Schneepflug und hinten ein Sicherheitsfahrzeug. Ich war auch heute wieder froh,nicht fahren zu müssen. Ohne Scheeketten oder Spikes, durfte keiner fahren. Zurück in die hübsche Stadt Honningsvag, supermarkt , Schnittchen, duschen ab ins Bett. Kalt war es da oben und windig. Hurtigruten 🇳🇴 Since 1893, the traditional mail boat line has connected the towns on the approximately 2,700 km long west coast of Norway between Bergen and Kirkenes. In earlier times, the northern areas were difficult to access and were cut off from any civilization, especially in winter. The waterway was the only access to supply the villages with the most necessary things. At first there were three ships sailing twice a week and by 1936 the fleet had been expanded to 14 ships and daily trips. After the 1st and 2nd World Wars there were only three ships left that were fit to sail and they had to start all over again. From 1970 onwards, the road network in Norway was expanded and part of the freight could now be transported by truck, at least in summer. Made it to Nordkapp. Well, almost.. This is Honningsvag, 30 km from our destination. The road ahead is closed with winds up to 60 km/h, sweeping us off our feet and rocking the 3 ton truck like a toy. A 20 car expedition from the Netherlands just called it quits. ＊ ノルウェーの北の果て、トロムソを後にし 更に北東のキルケネスを目指すクルーズ船に 乗ってきました🚢 フィヨルドに沿いながら2泊3日する船旅は 本来は夜中にデッキからオーロラ鑑賞ができる クルーズでしたが残念ながら全く見ることができず😭 1日目は明らかに雲がかかっていて月も隠れた状態。 2日目はすっきりとした夜空で星も月もバッチリ🌕 オーロラアプリ（数日前にダウンロード）を 確認しても良さそうな感じで期待が高まりましたが 結局出現せず。残念！ デッキには湯気立つジャグジーもあり、そこに 浸かりながら夜中に現れるオーロラを眺める、 というなんとも贅沢な経験もできるようです🤩 （でも水着姿でジャグジーに辿り着くまでに寒過ぎて倒れそう😇） その代わり？WHIRLPOOLという モノポリーそっくりのボードゲームに家族で どハマりして3時間も4時間も没頭しました。 その他ボードゲームがたくさん積んであり、 コーヒー紅茶も自由に飲めるのでゲームに 興じるおじさんおばさんグループや家族で ラウンジは賑わっていました。 途中、Honningsvåg という小さな港町に 立ち寄ったので降りてみました。可愛い家々が 並んでいてとても絵になる風景でした✨ 街中に子供のためにあるかのような雪山が できていてそこで時間ギリギリまで遊び倒しました⛄️ 船内の食事もとても美味しかったです😋 1日目の夕食はビュッフェだったので 昔からサーモンに目がない私はやっぱりお皿が サーモン一色になってしまいました🐟 終着点のキルケネスに着いてからはすぐ 目の前のバスに乗り換えて空港へ。 次はノルウェーの首都、オスロに移動します✈️ We went on a two-night cruise trip leaving from Tromso and heading to Kirkeness. It was supposed to be a cruise to experience the chance to see the gorgeous northern lights. Unfortunately, we couldn't see them regardless of the clear sky with the moon and stars! It was a shame but the cruise itself was fab! The ferry was beautiful, the food was divine and the little fishing village we stopped by was so charming. Mit Honningsvag sind wir schon fast am Ende der Welt. Diese im Nordkap liegende Stadt auf einer kleinen Insel zählt nur 2200 Einwohner. Die meisten sind Fischer oder leben vom Tourismus. 🌍 Nordkapp 🌍 5 300 Kilometer, 35 Tage Reisezeit, über 100 aktiv besuchte Orte, ein Zelt, ein Rucksack, ein Wahnsinn. Das Ende Europas ist erreicht. Es war eine lange, abenteuerliche und beinahe schon prägende Reise. Mit großer Begeisterung stand ich am Dienstag, 09.08.2022 auf der Spitze Europas. Wahnsinns Gefühl. All die Organisation, all die Vorbereitung, all das Chaos dazwischen, die gesamte Reise, alles hat schlussendlich "hinghaut". Lässig. Zusätzlich hatten wir das Glück, Nordkapp zirka 30min vor den ersten vollgefühlten Touribussen zu erreichen. Menschenleer. Ruhig. Windig. Kalt. Nass. So wie der Großteil Norwegens. Hoffentlich kommt eines Tages der Moment, wo ich dieses vielseitige und wunderschöne Land noch einmal besuchen können werde. Ha det.
