What an epic day yesterday was…we started by emptying the hostel at 5:45 by setting off the fire alarm cooking breakfast 😂..then launched on our epic hike to glorious weather around the top on the Langale valley.Visibility was amazing, so we had breathtaking 360 degree vista across 22k of Wainwrights, Pikes and peaks..it was a bit of a grueller and probably one the tougher days I’ve done. A finish line pint in National Trust, Sticklebarn was an effective lure and fuelled our adventure around Crinkle Crags, Bo Fell, Pike o Stickle and plenty of others I forget. What a day…

Striding Edge: the most exciting way up to England’s third highest mountain - Helvellyn ⛰️ This 13km loop starts in Glenridding in the Lake District. Generally considered a challenging yet thrilling route! It has 900m elevation and takes around 5 hours to complete. Weekend training 💪🏻🥾⛰️ From long walks to insane stepper workouts. Some of the team are putting in a real shift this weekend. Some of the girls are still getting out on long walks, with big miles this week from @imorosehale and @ellie_greensmith and today @hayleyloudenham & @becksbawley are getting some Sunday miles in. @hallrunnings @mrshmaccers have been smashing out insane stepper and incline treadmill sessions. These are brutal but so beneficial for the legs and mental strength. During the week @r0wanmurph @skerna1 @anna_all4mnd @jess_all4mnd @jemma_hall14 @abi_all4mnd @hayleyloudenham @becksbawley have all been smashing out strong gym sessions with a mix of the stepper. This team loves the stepper. 😂🥵 It’s really really tough, time isn’t on the side of the team and neither is the weather. The team keeps moving and is staying strong. After I’d seen the start of the Derwentwater Dawdle off I headed up out of Braithwaite on the Lakeland 100 route as I’d never actually seen the path not in the clag before 🙃 Got to Sail summit then dropped back into Portinscale to watch the runners come through. Before we knew it, we were getting the ferry from Harris to the Isle of Skye (shorter and cheaper, we preferred this) - Isle Of Skye - love the brewery right as you come off the Ferry and Uig Pottery! - Then went to Talisker - To Fairypools car park before it rained cats and dogs and we decided not to start walking it in that rather- try again next time! - Camping Skye - loved it! - Fisherman's Kitchen fresh seafood salads for us Then onto Luss Loch Lomond campsite - Sun came and made things beautiful with Mirror reflections - Heading south to the Lake District- via Aira Waterfalls - loved these! - Park Foot (massive busy campsite not our cup of tea liked the smaller quieter ones). Alhamdulillah, we did it! We conquered England's highest peak in 6 hours.😊💪🏼, JazakAllah khair and thank you to everyone that donated and wished us luck , it means so much to us all🤲🏼💙 In just 6 hours, we ascended to the summit, blessed with perfect weather—sunshine, a gentle breeze, and even a touch of light snow an hour before reaching the peak! ❄️☀️ Words cannot express the immense pride we feel for each other after such an incredible journey. It was a day filled with solidarity, determination, and unforgettable moments. A massive congratulations go to an extraordinary achievement of our remarkable ladies, including Sultana, Maira, Cheryl, and Mumtaz, who conquered their first mountain hike with us at Scafell Pike! Yesterday I spent a hilly few hours on the bike. Birker Fell and Hardknott being the most notable climbs but The Old Rake out of Torver is a lung-buster too. - What a day! The rain held off to allow me and my daddy to explore an old disused quarry overlooking Coniston Water. It was an epic hike to the top, but the views made it well worth it! #lakedistrict #coniston Hardly a soul around, so peaceful. On the way back to the car, Daddy spotted a WW2 Spitfire doing some barrel rolls in the distance. He was extremely pleased. He didn't find any fossils this time.
