Hi folks. #huckbach here reporting that today I was officially #discharged from care by the #orthopedic team at #VHUP. I have recovered from my #tplo! My bone has finally healed! I was so sleepy on the way home today and mom snapped this photo. We are both so glad this stage of our life is over and I can get out walking the neighborhood and smelling the good smells again. #tplo day +56. I had my eight week X-rays today and le sigh I have “delayed bone healing”. The vet reassured mom that it WILL heal, I just felt too good too fast and did too much. So I am back on the IR with lots of limited activity, rest and trazadone. But good thing is I can still start my doggie physical therapy next week. This weeks #huckbach update. #tplorecovery day +28. Time flies when you’re having fun…or wearing an #recoverysuit! I went back for a check on my incision because mom was nervous that one spot had opened up a little. The vet was really nice and reassured her that I’m doing ok! She puts this antibiotic ointment on it twice a day and it’s looking good. I’m licking and wanting to chew at it less. And the recovery suit seems to be helping so I don’t have to wear the #coneofshame. 4 more weeks until X-rays and then I start #puppypt when we get to #capecod for the holidays. #beagle #bluetickbeagle #rescuedogsofinstagram #therapydog #phillydog #bionicbeagle

They said I’m “doing great” and moms biggest challenge is going to be keeping me calm and not amping up my activity to fast because I am feeling so much better.
