The Indus River, also known as the Sindhu River, is the largest river in South Asia and the 21st largest in the world, stretching about 1,800 miles (2,900 kilometers). Originating high in the Himalayas in the Tibet region of China, it flows through some of the world's tallest mountains for approximately 1,100 miles (1,800 kilometers). Passing through northwestern India, the territory of Kashmir, and northern Pakistan, much of its water comes from the melting of glaciers and snow in the mountains. As it leaves the mountains, the Indus flows onto the plains of Pakistan. In the region known as Punjab, several rivers converge into the Indus, significantly widening its expanse. The Indus then travels through Sindh, passing near the bustling city of Karachi. پاکستان کے سب سے خوبصورت دریا۔ 1۔ پہلے نمبر پر کوئی شک ھی نہیں دریاے ghizer سب سے خوبصورت ہے۔۔نیلا سبز پانی کی آواز بانسری سے زیادہ سریلی ہے اس دریا کی۔ اور یہاں پھنڈر کے آس پاس دریا جب ٹھہر جاتا ہے تو ایسا منظر آپ شاید ہی کہیں دیکھ سکیں۔۔ 2۔ پھر بات کرتے ہے نیلم کی ۔۔ تاؤ بٹ نیلم کی خوبصورتی اپنی مثال آپ ہے ۔۔ خوبصورت پہاڑوں کے درمیان نیلگوں پانی اور اس پاس کے جنگلات والے پہاڑ ۔ 3۔ دریاے استور جو برزل پاس کی برفوں سے شروع ہوتا ہے اور پھر چلم سے ہوتا ہوا gorikot پر روپل ندی سے مل جاتا ہے۔ گوریکوت تک اس دریا کا رنگ لینڈ اسکیپ اور گرین خوبصورتی شاید آپکو ایک فیئری tale میں لے جائے۔ gorikot میں روپل ندی جو ننگا پربت سے آتی ہے اپنی ساتھ برفانی گلیشئرز کا گدلا پانی لاتی ہے جسکی وجہ سے یہاں دریا استور گدلہ ہوجاتا ہے۔ 4۔ دریاے کنہار کا وہ علاقہ جو لولوسر سے لیکر ناران تک ہے۔ یہ تو بلکل پہلے پیار کی طرح ہے جو کبھی نہیں بھولتا۔ یہاں greenry پلس روڈ پلس پہاڑوں پر برف اس دریا کو ہمیشہ کیلئے آپکی یادوں کا حصہ بنا دیتی ہے۔ 5۔ دریاے پنجگورا وادی كمراٹ کو دلکش دریا۔ جب kumrat کمرشل نہیں ہوا تھا تو یہاں۔ کا نیلا پانی گھنے جنگلات اور پہاڑ بچپن کی دور دراز ویدک فیئری tale لگا کرتے تھے۔ 6۔ ویسے دریائے ہنزہ کا پانی بہت گدلا۔ ہے لیکن wahan ایک مقام آتا۔ ہے گنیش جہاں ایک طرف سے دریاے ہسپر جو بیافو کی برفوں سے آ رہا ہے مل جاتا ہے ہنزہ دریا کےساتھ بہت khoobsurt منظر دیتا ہے ۔ 7۔ اب بات کرتے ہیں بادشاہ دریا ، اباسین دریا، شیر دریا، مرد دریا ، سندھ دریا کی۔ دنیا کا واحد دریا جو 3 عظیم ماؤنٹین رینجز ہمالیہ، کراکورم اور ہندوکش کو کاٹ کر اپنا راستہ بناتا ہوا سمندر تک جاتا ہے ۔۔ یہ دریا 45 ملین سال پہلے بھی اپنا وجود رکھتا تھا جب اس دھرتی اور یہ تین عظیم ماؤنٹین رینجز نہیں تھی۔ خیر is دریا پر پھر کبھی بات ہوگی فلحال اسکی خوبصورتی کی بات کریں تو یہ دیا بلکل خوبصورت نہیں ۔ ایک چنگھاڑ ہے اسکے پانی میں، ایک دہشت ہے اسکے پانی میں ایک ہیبت ہے اس میں جیسے ایک king مغرور ہو کر اپنی رعایا یعنی mountains، پھتر اور درختوں کے بیچ اپنی مکمل وجاہت سے چل رہا ہو۔۔ Mighty #IndusRiver #KaraoramHighway #Thakot #kohistan #beautifuldestinations #Beautiful_Pakistan

SSS 5: Beautiful drive offering mesmerising landscapes! We started from Merak to Tso Moriri. We stopped on the way for some impromptu #snowplay Then we reached the #rezinglawarmemorial - At the India- Chine border. very well maintained and the short video brings history alive! We left the place teary eyed with snow showering from above.. We then reached #tsomoriri . The lake was completely frozen.. we enjoyed walking on the lake, playing around . Here we chose a home stay with a local family. The couple was very affectionate and caring. We made #thupka together and enjoyed it with lot of conversations with the fire lit to keep us warm. The next day we started for Leh. This time we had the #sindhuriver accompanying us. We stopped at the #chumathang hot springs. Truly magical experience to have boiling hot springs on the banks of freezing cold #indusriver . The place however is littered as compared to the other places and needs some attention. On reaching Leh, we went again to the market to have #tibetianfood before leaving the #utladakh . We went to @chimathtibetankitchen and woah we truly enjoyed the food. It surely was worth the wait.. And thus concluded our #ladakhadventures . It’s very very hard to put these experiences in words. But Ladakh truly is magical! To witness snow, sand, water, stones all in one place? #ithappensonlyinindia Apart from this, we noticed and appreciated the #sustainableideas like #compostingtoilet #sustainablefuel #minimalism people practice there. Yesterday, I had the real pleasure of visiting the studio of Sa’dia Rehman @sasasare, the current artist in residence at @harvardartlab. Sa’dia is a generous soul who knows loss. Much of their work echoes the generational trauma that began with the displacement of their father’s family in 1974 from Khar Kot near the Indus River in Pakistan. Over a hundred villages were submerged to facilitate the building of the Tarbela Dam. 100,000 people were forced to move. We spoke about displaced communities, mobile mosques, fractured memories, and broken things from the past. I was so engrossed in our conversations that I didn’t take any pictures, but here are some images of Sa’dia’s projects from @sasasare.
