I firmly believe that everybody needs a getaway to a resort! You deserve to feel pampered & experience the little luxuries that make your time there extra special. Wear the robe, wear the slippers, take a long shower, burn the incense, sip champagne while you get ready, have a coffee at 5:00 PM, let them give you turn-down service. Eat the desserts! (sounds like my convictions are based on recent actual experiences!) Getting away from normal life is a real treat and a blessing. And your time is valuable! It’s always so hard to leave such a beautiful place! We just spent the long weekend at Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort. @dreamsplayamujeresresort I’ve sent many clients here and been myself with another agent, but this time I was with my own family + our friends. Two thumbs up from all…and they want to go back! From the gorgeous wide beach (perfect for the beach volleyball players in the group) to the many pools and hot tubs (for the kids of leisure) to the delicious restaurants (that were wonderful with some serious gluten allergies we have), we all had a blast. We experienced the spa, room service, benefits of the Preferred Club like the lounge and lazy river, the waterslides, a wonderful adult-only dinner over at Secrets next door, a magic show, swimming with the dolphins in the ocean on-site, & more. Sometimes an “all inclusive” getaway is not exactly what you are looking for. Sometimes you want to stay at what’s called a “European Plan” (EP) resort. Often these are elevated resort experiences (and common to be family-friendly). They are great for someone who wants more unique food options and “craft” cocktails, those who may want to venture off property for some meals, and those who actually may not want to eat or drink a ton. Many (but not all) do cater to a higher-end/luxury price point. I’m happy to help you explore there options, as I’ve stayed at a few of these types of properties in Mexico myself. My family and our friends just spent a few days in a new spot for us: Park City, Utah! We had the best time exploring local restaurants, coffee shops, and bars + rafting, shopping, and doing allll the summer activities on the Park City Mountain and at Olympic Park (home of the 2002 Winter Olympics!). We had a perfect home near Main Street and walked to most places. And leaving 105° behind for temps in the 60s-80s was fabulous. I’m so excited to add this to my U.S. destination list for my clients. ✔️Last week I was able to check off my last Walt Disney World Resort property. I’ve now personally stayed at all of ‘em….over 20! (fine print: I’ve stayed at every property address, but maybe not the main hotel AND villas section or vice versa. But! I’ve stayed at several of the same Disney hotels 3-5 times + the Four Seasons nearby! In 3 weeks… I’ll be back on the Disney Wish heading to my most fave and beautiful place: Disney Castaway Cay in the Bahamas! Few things for this trip: • It’s a 4-night sailing and should stay that way, unlike my September 4-night one that turned into 6 nights because of Hurricane Ian 😳🌀. BUT, this will now give me 10 nights of experience on the new Wish 🛳️! I think my sweet spot on a cruise is 4 nights. • My two kids and my mom are coming with, so we’ll be exploring both family/kid activities + adult/grown-up things to do. With having a “tween”now, I’m curious to see what interests her and if she takes part in those age-related activities. • On our Nassau day, we’ll be doing a day pass at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. I’m so excited to “research” this resort in order to book it for clients and also to experience another Disney Cruise Line-managed port adventure. • This is my first DCL sailing since being gluten and dairy free, so I’ll get to experience working with the dining team on that. I do know they are excellent though! • It is a “Silver Anniversary at Sea” themed cruise… so that’s fun to experience something special. They do themed sailings several times a year. Let’s talk about sunny Arizona! It’s my family’s 3rd visit in 3 years to this beautiful state. If you like cacti, palm trees, mountains, sunshine, & pools (and no passports needed), this is a state to visit. I have several resort recommendations there for you, but we just went for our 2nd year to the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. They have a theme every summer with lots of activities…and they go all out (this year was “Retro Recess” complete with a roller rink; last year’s was like an Indiana Jones theme…with a zip line!). We are big fans of the famous lobby dogs, the multiple pools (one with water slides), their family playroom, delicious restaurants, and the gorgeous property. I could go on and on! We also ventured into Scottsdale, which is a great city.
