As I was harvesting chicory this morning I was thinking of the Condor and Eagle prophecy, and I noticed my neighbours European honey bees absolutely swarming over this beautiful plant. It dawned upon me that my garden might just be re-igniting a deeply held memory within the bees DNA, just as living in Europe with my ancestors and working with these plants has done in me. It dawned upon me that it's these small moments, these beautiful offerings that are actually quite significant in the great remembering of all species on this beautiful planet. For too long the lands have been separated by continental drift, for too long the animals have been separated by this movement, and for too long the people have walked ignorant from one another as a whole, not just as a whole one hearted people, but as a whole one hearted ecosystem and planet. The bees (both European and Native bees) are loving my garden, and I am loving them. 💚 They pollinate these powerful plant friends of mine, so they can continue to live, in doing so they return to their queen with gifts of gold, and me.... I get to be grateful for their work, their interconnectedness and to the plant friends that offer their life in the most sacred way to nourish my body in times of need. In turn, I sing to them, tend to them and notice the role they play in bringing us back to where we all belong. Together. Deep rooted into this precious Earth.
