“Where did the money of the State go?”. La Global Money Week se celebra del 20 al 26 de marzo con la finalidad de concienciar a la población acerca del buen uso del dinero, mediante habilidades para la toma de decisiones financieras acertadas. Actualmente, hay una gran controversia sobre el paradero del dinero del Banco Central de Líbano. El país ha estado sufriendo una grave crisis económica y financiera en los últimos años, lo que ha llevado a una fuerte devaluación de la moneda, una inflación alta y una escasez de recursos básicos. El Banco Central de Líbano ha sido acusado de malversación de fondos y de permitir el flujo de dinero ilícito a través de su sistema bancario. إنّ ما حدث و ما يحدث من هزات و زلازل في تركيا و سوريا هو أمر محزن و مفجع بسبب الأعداد الهائلة للضحايا التي ترتفع في كل يوم، فهي فاقت الأربعون ألف و تركت مئات الآلاف من الجرحى و الملايين من المشردين الذين خسروا بيوتهم لا لسبب مقنع بل بسبب الاهمال بتطبيق لقوانين( البناء المقاوم للزلازل ) و الطمع بالأرباح الهائلة من توفير بمواد البناء و الحديد. و من سخرية القدر، الخسائر المادية تُقدّر بأكثر من مئة مليار بينما المبلغ الذي وفره المقاولين بمواد البناء لا يتعدى العشرة مليار أي ما يساوي ١٠٪ و بالنسبة لمهندسي المنطقة، فلا تنقصهم الخبرة و المعرفة ببناء أبنية مقاومة للزلازل، فالدليل هو مبنى نقابة المهندسين بقهرمان مرعش التي كانت المركز الرئيسي للزلزال الأول الذي كان بقوة ٧،٨ درجة على مقياس ريختر، و الذي دمّر كل المباني في المدينة و جعلها هباءً منثورًا، و لم يبقى منها إلا مبنى نقابة المهندسين الذي بقي صامدًا كقلعة هندسية بُنيت بطريقة صحيحة جداً لتُثبت أنه من الإمكان بناء مبنى يقاوم الزلزال بقوة ٧،٨. و قبل أن نتحدث عن مَن يقع اللوم، يجب أن نؤكد و بكل قوة أن لا يُسمح لأي كان أن يبني أي مبنى من غير اعتماد أحدث التصاميم الهندسية لمقاومة الزلازل مع وضع أقسى العقوبات على المهندس المنفذ و حتى على التنظيم المدني و كل مَن يضع توقيعه على خريطة غير مستوفية لشروط السلامة العامة من جهة مقاومة الزلازل، حتى لاتتكرر هكذا مأساة مرة أخرى في أي منطقة من المناطق الواقعة على فوالق زلزالية نشطة أو غير نشطة. فلتكن عبرة لمن يعتبر! و حسنًا فعلت تركيا بإلقاء القبض على الكثير من المقاولين الذين بنوا البنايات البسكوتية، ضاربين بعرض الحائط سلامة المواطنين الذين بسببهم و بسبب التهاون و عدم المراقبة الجدية من قِبل السلطات الهندسية المختصة هدرت أرواح كل تلك الآلاف. يجب الاطلاع على الهندسة اليابانية و الأخذ برأي مَن صمّم خرائط مبنى نقابة المهندسين بقهرمان مرعش مع تعميم طريقة البناء، بالإضافة إلى محاسبة و مساءلة هؤلاء المهندسين الذين لم يبنوا أي مبنى في المدينة بنفس مواصفات مبنى النقابة المقاوم للزلازل.(2/3) الشاهد الصامد على صوابية البناء المقاوم للزلازل #habibantoine #lebanesearmy_official #commander_joseph_aoun #mostafaadib_official #mustaphaadeeb #sabaapolitics #melhemkhalaf #hassandiab #hassandiabsupporters #paulayacoubian #lebanontimes #tripoli #beirut #livelovelebanon #livelovebeirut #whatsuplebanon #beiruting #lebaneserevolution #mauricematta #riadtawkofficial #samy_gemayel #wassefharake #saudiarabia #saadhariri #rim

Health workers attend to suspected cholera patients inside a field hospital in Bebnine, Akkar district, northern Lebanon. Cholera is rapidly spreading across Lebanon, the World Health Organisation has warned, with the country’s health ministry reporting more than 1,700 confirmed or suspected cases since the outbreak began in early October. Cholera is typically caused by ingesting contaminated water or food. The informal settlements where cholera was first reported in Lebanon suffer from extremely poor sanitation, making it an ideal place for the infection to spread. Health authorities are seeking to secure 600,000 doses of cholera vaccines for those who are most vulnerable, particularly frontline workers, prisoners and refugees. “The best way to prevent a cholera outbreak is to ensure people have access to clean water and appropriate sanitation and hygiene. ARCHIVE: There's a strange and beautiful thing about those quiet and unexpected moments that emerge from the chaos when I'm on the field photographing. Among the echoes of the explosions and sirens, beyond the toxic haze of the teargas bottles and physical violence between protesters and the armed forces I look for those scenes where nothing seems to be happening and yet where I can find so much meaning and visual power. I spotted this lady standing alone on a pile of rocks at Martyr's Square holding the Lebanese flag, so I rushed to take her picture before she went away. She was happy with being photographed and posed for a brief moment. The ominous dark sky and the concrete jungle around her silhouette were the perfect cold, implacable contrast against her human figure, vulnerable and yet powerfully optimistic (a chronic trait of the Lebanese spirit) along with that bright red from the flag, so literal of blood, death and vitality. ARCHIVE: Downtown Beirut turned into a real battlefield on the morning of the 11th of February 2020, between thousands of demonstrators who tried to prevent deputies from reaching parliament to vote for confidence in the government of Hassane Diab and the security forces who used tear gas, water cannons, rubber bullets and batons to disperse them. Despite the determination of the demonstrators, a sufficient number of deputies were able to reach Parliament to ensure a quorum. At 7p.m., the cabinet obtained confidence. The four arabic letters [ ر ـ ا ـ و ـ ثـ ] of the word “THOWWAR” were designed in a seperated rectangular form, inspired from the shape of the revolution hand.
