For those who don’t know me, I’m Luca :) Back when I started my bachelor’s degree in communication design @kd_trier a couple years ago, I had no clue that I’m gonna be doing what I’m doing right now. Finding my passion in typography and everything related to brand identities. What I love most about design is telling stories through it. And sometimes just exploring different shapes and letterforms like this one right here. I just wanted to stop overhtinking and finally start putting my stuff out here. Late night coffees ☕️ Last night I was taking a small survey of works in progress. At this point, I have several projects underway, and a few that are more like elaborate models. It makes me think about this quote from William Kentridge. “All the thoughts in your head being enlarged into all the drawings and the objects on the walls in the studio and between the studio are the movement of thoughts around your head, from memory to imagination to unconscious to conscious—all those movements across the studio.” Thank you for stopping by the studio and enjoy the weekend🌞

“Pangolins” in collaboration with @rustybeez13 for submission to @theclinkroom Pangolins. They’re weird. Like, really weird. Kinda like an anteater and an armadillo had a trip to Vegas they don’t really remember. A long snout and a tongue as long as their body to slurp up ants and termites. No teeth but gizzard stones and hard plates in the stomach to grind up the insects. Huge claws to dig, tear into mounds, and climb trees. Their bodies are covered with scales of keratin except on their underbelly, so for defense they can roll into a tight ball. Unfortunately, they are the most trafficked and poached animal on the planet. Areas of SouthEast Asia and Africa still use them for meat and their scales are collected for (unproven) medicinal qualities.
