I started a new journal. It’s a very personal one, as is this post. It’s about letters I’m writing to my daughter. As the big @friends fan I am, I always have the show in the background and my daughter has come to love the intro song. Every time she hears it, she stops whatever she’s doing and dances to it ☺️ so I decided to title my letters to her in the style of Friends’ episodes. The first one is about letting go. She started daycare this week and the separation has been hard on both of us. I hope some day she will find value (or maybe just comfort) on these letters. Die Entwicklung eines Bildes braucht Zeit, manchmal mehr und manchmal weniger. Eine Idee für diese Bild war schnell gefunden, doch die Umsetzung hat ein wenig länger gebraucht. Die Vorlage dazu habe ich beim @theotherfiguregroup #artchallenge erhalten. Dort hatten wir im Mai eine #collaboration mit @kaleido_form . Das Bild seht ihr im zweiten slide. Die Entstehung eines Bildes ist spannend und oft sehr emotional. Es steckt so viel von den eigenen Erfahrungen und Emotionen in jedem einzelnen Bild. Manchmal fällt es schwer es herzugeben, so wie bei diesem. Gemalt ist dieses Bild in einem Letter Journal mit unterschiedlichen Malmedien, das unsere kleine Künstlergruppe aus dem Malstudium immer Mal wieder startet. Qualche giorno fa ho perso il mio diario. È solo un insieme di fogli pasticciati, ma per me di grande valore perché in quei pasticci c'è racchiusa una parte di me. Quando mi sono resa conto di averlo perso mi sono sentita come se mi avessero tolto un braccio. Dopo qualche giorno un'anima buona e gentile mi ha contattato facendomi sapere che l'aveva ritrovato e se ne stava prendendo cura, asciugandolo pagina per pagina visto che era rimasto sotto la pioggia. L'universo in qualche modo ha fatto sì che il mio diario tornasse da me ...e non solo, credo mi abbia anche mandato un messaggio. Lui ora porta i segni di quello che gli è capitato e forse ha acquisito un fascino diverso. Nog één tekening met viltstift kunnen maken, dat was het dan :)

Veel tekeningen gaan er niet komen deze week, ook omdat ik mij had voorgenomen NIET te gaan tekenen deze week op het eiland. Met dochters hier zijn is heerlijk, maar ook bij ‘even weg zijn’ blijf ik mantelzorger, en is structuur heel belangrijk (wat ik in een vakantie heel moeilijk vind merk ik) net als ontprikkel momenten. Ik had bedacht om het mezelf niet te moeilijk te maken en me wat meer met foto’s maken bezig zou gaan houden. Uitwerken kan thuis ook nog :) … ik nam wel een paar stiften mee en zo ontstond het dat ik gisteren -tijden het ontprikkel moment van dochters- even alleen een snel rondje kon gaan fietsen en deze kon maken. Uiteraard wil ik meteen meer maken, maar één is ook goed herhaal ik steeds :) • Materiaal: viltstift •
