Another fantastic day today. Started with a walk, turned snow ball fight, turned running race. Then had circle time, which erupted into quite a few bouts of giggles as we practiced skip counting and phonological awareness skills. Our attempts at getting settled and centered didn’t quite work today, we were all to excited about time with new friends. We will get there! Then on to handwork. After handwork we jumped into main lesson where we learned how to draw with block crayons, and then did some one-on-one reading. Then lunch To wrap up the day we brought out Lyra and let the dog lovers have some time with her. Over the next few weeks we will work on doing some dog training with her doing our afternoon activity time. And all too soon the day was done and it was time to say good bye. See you Thursday! Anyone else get overwhelmed if they don’t have some tools in place for managing all of life’s things?! Here are a few tips that have been essential for my ADHD brain to stay calm. Share this with a friend who might need it! 1. Time blocking my day, and I mean the entire day, not only shows me I actually do have time to get what I need to done but gives me the structure to make sure I stay on task. 2. If I make a list of only the things that HAVE to be done today vs the things that can wait, gives me such a such a sense of relief and closes some of the tabs in my head. 3. Delegate, lean into others and accept help! I tell my kids, “we are a team!” And that means they need to participate. 4. Sometimes when it all gets to be too much, I actually just need a break. Even 10 minutes to walk, breathe, or lay in bed and reset.

It truly is such an incredible feeling to meet and photograph so many wonderful clients all across the country- this beautiful family drove over 3 hours for their session 🧡
But what if my child is camera shy? You would never know looking at these photos, but sweet Adeline was one of them. We insured her we were only taking photos of her baby sister, and that helped her so much.
