I think we can be pretty happy with how the weekend turned out. Even with chilly air temperatures, it really felt warm when the sun did come out. Unfortunately, a murky and soggy Monday awaits, although Tuesday and Wednesday will be drier. Here is the latest outlook for Manchester. ▪️Monday: Dull and chilly to start this morning with light to moderate rain. The rain will become more patchy towards lunchtime and there will be some drier periods more widely by the afternoon. Drizzle will interrupt locally these drier periods, although all areas should eventually become dry later in the afternoon. Skies will remain cloudy for most of the day before some late brightness in the west ahead of sunset. Winds will be light with a temperature high of only 10°C. ▪️Monday Night: A chilly night with variable amounts of cloud will follow tonight. Winter will dig back in early this week before a gradual improvement in weather fortunes later. ▪️Sunday: A chilly morning greets us, although there will at least be some sunny spells for those up early. Cloud amounts will steadily increase as the morning progresses and into the afternoon, isolated showers will develop. A few of us will be lucky enough to escape these showers, but skies will be mostly cloudy during the afternoon and into the evening. Temperature wise, we are looking at a high of 12°C, which will feel chilly given it will be a breezy day too. 🟡🤧 Moderate Pollen 🟡☀️ Moderate UV (max 3). 🟢💨 Low air pollution (source: DEFRA) ✅👕 Good weather for drying AM but be aware of showers PM. ▪️Sunday Night: Staying mostly cloudy overnight with isolated showers through the evening. Showers will increase during the early hours of Monday to give us a wetter second half of the night. Locally heavy downpours are likely by dawn. Breezy and chilly with lows of 5°C. ▪️Monday: 🌦️ Thermals and a big coat are advised on Monday as temperatures take a tumble and the weather turns wet and windy. Downpours of rain and hail will push down intermittently during the day and winds will gust up to 50mph. Don’t be surprised if you see some sleet or wet snow on the hills too. Highs of 9°C. ▪️Tuesday: 🌦️ Better weather thankfully awaits us for Tuesday as we see a mix of bright spells and showers. Most of the showers will develop during the second half of the day. Still quite cold though with highs around 11°C. ▪️Outlook: Our weather will slowly settle down from the middle of the week as high pressure builds from the west. Initially, conditions will still be chilly with the risk of showers from the north before the high pressure system mores more centrally over the UK into the weekend.
