About last night 💖🥂💖 This mum here was spoilt rotten by her two amazing daughters. To start, we were chauffeured by Mr R into Manchester, whilst enjoying a glass of bubbly en route 🥂💖 Then it was Fizz with canapés and cuddles with the grandcats. 🥂 My Mother’s Day gift, concert tickets for The Hallé St Peter’s to watch a Piano Recital and pre concert dinner @thecounterhouse where we had an array of very delicious dishes from the small plates menu to share, washed down with Spicy Margaritas. 🍹it was an evening to remember ! Gift bouquets… S O…I often get asked for gift bouquets and it is something I do try to offer where I can. The thing is, I operate as a ‘studio’ florist, rather than like a shop, so I don’t always have flowers every day. I do shoots, weddings, events and all sorts of other fun stuff. So this basically means that you need to be flexible on colours and style, as I’ll be using the same flowers and set design in place for whatever event I’m creating that day. On the plus side, it means you get incredibly fresh, often real luxe bouji stuff that you wouldn’t always see in a day to day run flower shop. So that’s pretty snaz. My recent oil sketch of St Michael’s Church, Angel Meadow, Manchester, as it stood, in 1931. I have a strong family connection to this district, and despite the fact that it inspired both Engels and Dickens to write of its notoriously grinding poverty and crime, I have chosen to depict it in an ice cream palette with loose brushwork. I was quite keen to get movement into the Manchester sky.
