At first I wasn't very interested in making shoulder mounts for cats. Because I thought it would make a violent image to people. But I had so many requests that I told myself that I was going to make a test to see. ♡ I had this partial cat donation from a client who only wanted to keep the skull and the back pelt of the cat, so i used this for my first test. The project turned out to be more pleasant than expected, I'm surprised! ♡ Sure i changed the eyes from the original cat, it's something i often do with donation, i dont try to make the eyes exacly like the cat was in its lifetime. Piece of fur has been taken just before the cremation. Part of Amber is now back home and owners are very grateful to own a memorial of Amber and be able to touch her again. I am very honored that they trusted me for this work. ♡ I dont usually work on big dogs for many reasons. They take a lot of place in freezer, they are heavy and I work alone and it's difficult to move such a big animal, I don't want to hurt myself. And simply that I don't have the facilities to receive large animals, my workshop is small. But with the approval of Auranimal the cremation house in St-Gabriel, I can work on site before the cremation to collect a patch of fur just before the cremation. For this you must make an appointment with me and the cremation house and also be able to drive there. His owner wanted this simple sitting pose, but I wanted it to reflect prestige and pride. I'm very satisfied with the final result. I got attached to this Atreyou but I can't wait for him to find his home where he belongs. ♡ -Today April 2022- Atreyou is now back in his home. Even if I appreciated keeping Atreyou close to me for 15 months, you will understand that I cannot always be that generous of my time for everyone. My mistake was that I started the work even if the client didn't pay in full for the work. So now, I have to be strict about how I work. I'm an extremely emotional and sensitive person, I don't want to sound heartless by saying that I will not do a job without full payment first. ♡ Also, a deposit of CA$400 will be required upon receipt of the animal. This deposit is for storage and cremation fees. Some clients change their minds more than they grieve, and that's totally normal.
