I think this is ATCQ's best album, and I know a lot of people pick their 3rd album "Midnight Marauders", and I understand, but to me this was a 5 mic classic. The way they mixed jazz and Hip-Hop, with great rapping by Phife Dawg and Q-Tip, Tribe definitely had the vibe. A classic top to bottom. After an absolute classic debut album in 93, fans were wondering if Kam could deliver another amazing album with his sophomore record. This is a really cool concept record, one big story with each song being a "chapter" in the story. Of course I've always been a fan of ATL, so add in a great storytelling concept record, you can't go wrong. Also his only album on Psychopathic Records. The only downside is it ends on a cliffhanger and "too be continued", but 12 years later we still never heard the rest of the story. Still worth checking out. #KnowYourTemples Mandir Shri Baldev ji was consecrated in 1740 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh ji. He installed a black stone idol of Lord Krishna’s elder brother Shri Baldev ji and his wife Shriji Revati ji near the Mansagar lake to pray for the prosperity of the Jaipur empire. The site of the temple is of immense historical significance. Legend has it that this is the spot where Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh ji organized an Ashwamedha yagna while laying down the foundation stone for Jaipur city. This yagna, the last of its kind in the modern world, lasted for about 15 months. It is also said that while the yagna was on, a 65-foot long green snake regularly visited the yagna kund, but the snake was never seen after the completion of the yagna. The temple, dedicated to the Nimbarka sect, is also called the Parshruram Dwaara, because it was serviced by Shri Parshuram Acharya. A bawri (stepwell), about 11 storeys deep was constructed behind the temple to provide fresh and natural water to the temple. Gardens were also laid out to provide fresh flowers as offerings to the Lord. The temple itself has three storeys above the ground, and was built to offer accommodations and space for bhajan evenings. Another fascinating account states that the soil from the site of the Ashwamedha yagna was offered to Lord Ganesh, and after the yagna was completed a temple dedicated to Lord Ganesh was established atop the nearby Aravali mountains. After getting national play on his album "Back For The 1st Time" off the strength of the song "What's Your Fantasy", Luda followed that up and took it to a whole new level.
