I’ve been thinking a lot about what our collective unity in isolation at this time means, and how it reflects what we owe to each other as a community. . For most of the people I know, personally getting symptomatic Coronavirus would be a pain to bear, but non-lethal (so long as treatment is still available.) And yet, we stay home for the sake of the more vulnerable in our community. And not just a few people, the majority of us make this sacrifice daily for the good of the whole... and I think that’s a beautiful thing. . So stay strong my friends! At Last by Etta James has always read as this “journey back to center” story to me, and it’s one of my favourite songs for it. I’m serious, hand em over! 🐶 Today we have another dashie walk and I’m so excited. Over a dozen or so sausages walking all together, it’s like they’re a little gang! For those who don’t know, Chorizo was a rescue. When we got him, he was super skinny, not in a good way and would not get along with other dogs. We have come a long way in that short 5 months. We now go on dashie walks cos we know he likes other dashies, we have a great support of the other owners and can talk about what we’ve discovered and he even has friends now. It’s been really special to have these walks to explore how he interacts in a safe space. Stay tuned to my stories today, it’s gonna be an absolute sausage fest 🙊
