I first posted this leaf back in March! Back then he was just a bare root leaf I got from my uncle! He's really taking off now! I suspect, like all my succulents, this length is etoliation and not natural height, but I've just put him into more intense sunlight. After getting thrips from *nameless big box store* I’m a wee bit paranoid and repot and pest treat everything I bring home. I call it the Beautiful Invader because I have no idea what it is? It is a #familyheirloom My mom had in a pot from my grandmother that looked so cute like a little ivy so I took a cutting for myself. I had no idea this would happen. I love it, it is so invasive. I never planted it in but one one of these rod iron arrangements but found its way into my pots. I even put a pot out in these extreme temperatures with nearly no watering and although it is stressed, it is still thriving. If you know what it is please let me know? These little cante hybrids I grew from seed are struggling a bit with their transition outdoors but they’re starting to take off! I think they might be imbricata x cante… any thoughts on that? I know they’re cante because that’s where the seeds came from, but I also have a ton of imbricata in the yard and they’re excellent at hybridizing and that blue color always comes through!! @succulents.and.clay, any thoughts on the mix guess? Teeny tiny plants for #tinyplanttuesday: my Ludisia Discolor jewel orchid cutting which I'm continuing to root in perlite in this little spice pot (the slightly bigger original leaves have now fallen off, and only these newer leaves are remaining - but they are adorable and I can't complain), and my small array of succulent leaf propagations. Itty bitty baby succulents. Unfortunately, I don't know what these are leaves of, because they were bonus mystery leaves that came with an order. These took a little while to grow to this stage, but I hear succulent progress is slow, slow, slow. I have since getting these in the fall acquired just a few more leaves to propagate (just one more mini terracotta pot's worth - I still don't consider myself a succulent person!), but those are yet quite fresh. Went by @valesgreenhouse for the first time today. I will certainly be back. I picked up this stunning red Kangaroo Paw, (Anigozanthos) and a succulent of some kind. I had heard of Kangaroo Paw from the Australian podcast: @allthedirtpodcast with Steve and Deryn, but hadn’t seen one before. Once I realized what I was looking at, I had to have it! I felt pretty lucky to have found this plant here in Canada. Walking into Vale’s I knew pretty much immediately that this place wasn’t carrying the standard fare that we see in most greenhouses/nurseries and box stores.
