โค๏ธJacksonโค๏ธ I am absolutely smitten over this little guy. Iโm obsessed, Iโm in love and I want him to be mine so so badly. This little angel is only approximately 1 year old. He and his sister were both surrendered to the shelter because their owner no longer has the ability care for them. Jackson was absolutely terrified in his kennel. The noise of being in the shelter can be deafening and extremely scary for all of our new pups coming onto the floor. His sister is not yet on the floor. I moved slowly and Jackson trusted me very quickly. He was very brave in leaving his kennel and going outside. Once we got outside, he totally transformedโค๏ธ it was so amazing to see. He was walking wonderful on the leash, wagging his tail and soaking up all of the sunshine and fresh air. He was loving getting pets, hugs, ear scratches and head rubs. When I would stop, he would pivot closer to ask for more. I absolutely adore this little guy. He almost looks like a corgi and pitbull mix๐ฅน๐ญ๐ฅฐ he is small! โค๏ธToebeanโค๏ธ I LOVE this girl so much. Her condition breaks my heartโฆ she is approximately 3 years old. When I saw her name, the first thing I did was look at her toes, assuming there was some connection to her name. Her feet are very flat and the webbing is very prominent. Generally this physical attribute happens from being crated for excessive amounts of time. She is also underweight and has 2 little bald spots on her backside. She likely spent most or all of her life in a crate prior to being dumped. When you put your hand out, or even just bend down to talk to her, she flinches. Whatever humans had her did not treat her well and it is so infuriating and heartbreaking thinking about the years of abuse and neglect she endured. Despite all of that, she is the absolute sweetest and friendliest of pups. After we walked she did allow me to pet her and give her treats. I am praying her stay here is short. This beautiful girl deserves to be in a loving home with a bed, toys and everything she never had before. She was absolutely loving the fresh air, love and attention. Lilah was found as a stray and is heartworm+. She will begin her treatment soon. The treatment for heartworm is several months long and is very intense. Side effects can include, nausea, lethargy and coughing among other things. The shelter is already a stressful place for these pups. We currently have 3 pups with heartworm and we are desperately seeking fosters and forever homes for these sweet babies.
