However, the best trekking season for you depends on the route you pick. 😉 If you swipe to the 2nd photo, you see a huge difference. Right?! These pictures are taken on the high Thorong La Pass, on the Northern side of the Annapurna mountain range. So. let us give you a quick breakdown of the seasons here. 🌧️ In the summer, during monsoon, it is best to choose a route north of the mountain range. Because this area lies in the so-called ‘rain shadow’. There’s much less rain than in the south. Great options are the Annapurna Circuit Trek and Tilicho Lake Trek. Both routes are mostly on the north side of the mountain range. ❄️ In the winter, the skies are mostly crystal clear. BUT, there can be lots and lots of snow too ... Therefore it is better to stay on the southern side of the mountain range. Because, the high pass of Thorong La can be closed due to heavy snow. ☀️ Spring and summer are the best seasons to trek in the region, when it comes to the weather. Po prawie tygodniowym trekkingu, w trakcie którego pokonaliśmy dziesiątki mostów, tysiące kamiennych schodów i bez mała 85 kilometrów ścieżkami biegnącymi pomiędzy nepalskimi wioskami 🇳🇵 i pośród himalajskich gigantów 🗻, grupa Ani (@cymka_ana) dotarła wczoraj do celu 🎯 i zameldowała się w Annapurna Base Camp! 🫶 Jeśli śledziliście nasze relacje, to wiecie, że każdego dnia po drodze nie brakowało zarówno zachwytów pięknymi widokami 👀, jak i małych wyzwań do pokonania. Na szczęście wszyscy dali radę! 💪 Zostawiamy Was z małą galerią 📸 z tego dnia (oraz z dzisiejszego poranka) i komentarzem naszej liderki: 🗣: „Dzień 8. Nasze prośby zostały wysłuchane. Chmury zniknęły i naszym oczom ukazały się białe, strzeliste szczyty. Żeby nie było tak łatwo, w drodze do Machhapuchhre Base Camp musieliśmy przeskoczyć parę razy rzekę i przejść kilka mostków. W końcu mogliśmy podziwiać lśniące w słońcu ☀️ szczyty Machhapuchhre, Hiun Chuli, Annapurny Południowej, Annapurny I, Tent Peak i Gangapurny. 😍 Niestety, jaszcze zanim ruszyliśmy z MBC, wszystko zaciągnęło się mgłą. 🌫 Do Annapurna Base Camp udało się nam dotrzeć przed pierwszym śniegiem z deszczem. 🌨” P.S. Microstory🌀 El ser infieles a la cocina de la homestay nos regaló el encuentro con el relevo de este around the world. Ante la perplejidad del resto de trekkers nos abrazamos con efusividad y compartimos unas French fries. Le pasamos el testigo de este viaje a un par de mujeres jóvenes que irradian esperanza e inspiración con la promesa de ‘Ojalá otro reencuentro’. Al día siguiente cruzamos un glaciar, cuatro cascadas, varios puentes quebradizos, almorzamos sopa de ajo con noodles y patatas, y dormimos con toda la ropa. ~ En la subida la altitud aminoró los pasos, el silencio conquistó el presente y la respiración marcó el ritmo pausado y equilibrado del caminar. Los paisajes se pintaron de blanco y los ojos se protegieron tras las lentes polarizadas. Al llegar desaté de la mochila el mantra del amor universal y lo anudé a cuatro mil doscientos metros de altitud agradeciendo su poder para pacificar el enfado, el orgullo, la ignorancia y la frustración. Celebramos con un bowl de palomitas, brindamos con un hot lemon ginger y nos abrazamos a la quietud que envolvía al campo base del Annapurna. ~ Al amanecer los rayos de sol iluminaron los majestuosos Annapurnas y las lágrimas brotaron de alegría. Pellizqué mi brazo izquierdo para confirmar la veracidad del momento y bailamos sobre la nieve. La bajada se tornó contradictoria y las escaleras se volvieron en contra hasta alcanzar el desvío de Jhinu. El último puente colgante con sus doscientos ochenta metros tambaleó la estabilidad del final aunque lo esquivamos con un poderoso sankalpa. Un incendio nos recibió en Pokhara. Eso no está bien, dijo el joven indio sentado a mi lado en el jeep. Destruimos la madre tierra y no somos conscientes. Guardé sus palabras esperanzadoras en la mochila tras darnos un abrazo✨ . . . Laura whitaker We completed the Annapurna circuit trek with our guide, Nanda and porter, Raju in March/April 2024. The communication with Babu before we arrived and during our stay was excellent! Babu and his team welcomed us and made sure our trip ran smoothly throughout our whole Nepal trip. Everything was planned and organised for us so there was nothing for us to worry about during our Trek. Nanda and Raju were great accommodating our needs during our trek and making last minute changes, especially when we had altitude headaches.
