Theater Akzent is a stage for cabaret in Vienna’s 4th district, founded by the Vienna Chamber of Labor in 1990 as part of the Adolf Czettel Education Center. For its 30th anniversary, the brand received a modern redesign, which incorporated important components of the Chamber of Labor branding without giving up its own visual independence. In the course of redesigning the signage system of this impressive theater, the exterior was also given a fresh lease of life. For this years »Niederösterreichische Landesausstellung«, a bi-yearly exhibition that showcases Lower Austrias incredible history, we were asked to design an extensive architectural concept as well as a visual identity that evolves throughout the exhibition. This years design for Kulturpreis 2021 Niederösterreich. Every year, at a gala in St. Pölten, Lower Austria, prizes of appreciation and recognition are awarded in various cultural categories. In honor of this festive award ceremony we designed a coherent visual identity. The traditional material and form of the horn sculpture combined with a clear geometric language for the individual categories transfers to a more conceptual, open and transcultural level.
