So despite the massive session I undertook yesterday, I knew I technically still had two more sessions I needed to partake in to continue my practice of consistency. So, I set out to write my bare minimum today in order to at least continue my promise to myself. By the end of the night, with on and off writing while playing #fallout4 , I managed to hit 1,527 words to end the latest chapter. I’m sure there is only around four chapters that remain so I know I am super close to finishing! I have no set deadline for myself, but I’m sure with the right consistency I might be able to finish by next week! We shall see! “In Concert” ✨ I think I actually first began drawn on the way not on the subway in NYC but when I was a little kid and I would attend concerts with my mom. She was a music critic and she’d bring me along to sit next to her in the dark, listening to amazing performances where I would learn about the world, and art and all the thoughts that swirl in our minds when we are given the strange quiet of the soul that happens when there is artful sound. My mom would write notes in a steno pad or sometimes on the margins of the program, furiously scribbling the thoughts that filled her mind, letting them scrawl across the page in long flowing lines of ink. The next day m, they would show up as tidily printed text in the pages of the local newspaper. Sitting beside her, I would write my thoughts too - but in the form of doodles and swirling ink squiggles. I’m sure I was saying a lot with those thoughts drawings i would make in the margins of a program or sometimes, on the gracious real estate of a full piece of paper torn from my mother’s big pad and handed to me to keep me entertained. In this online holistic-artistic class we complete one expressive, acrylic painting, journey through a guided meditation and infuse our bodies with goodness through a somatic exercise - all in the theme of the month. Creative expression is a medicine in it's own right, and coupled with meditation and somatics, it is a recipe to decrease overwhlem and increase relaxation. This class is spiritual – not religious. I use themes of personal development and common threads of seasonal observances to inspire our projects. Sacred Art Circle is intended for beginners with no experience as well as seasoned artists. I guide you through easy-to-follow processes to help you achieve great results. Once registered, you get a video tutorial of some basic color mixing, painting and brush control techniques. I have been teaching art online since 2013. I am a professional artist with an MFA in Figurative Oil Painting and am a certified Therapeutic Arts Coach from a CPD-accredited academy.
