Two days of practical exams from Cert 2 (Prav. Purna) till Diploma 2 (Visharad Purna) at Pallavi Kathak’s New Jersey center of Bharati Vidyapeeth School of Performing Arts for Nov/Dec 2023. Thank you to our respected examiner Uttara Bhave (also Guru bhagini of Pallavi Tai) for conducting these exams with fun and ease. Slide till the end, as the day ended with my quick impromptu session. Two ecstatic and divine evenings with Shalmalee ji’s soulful and spiritual singing, accompanied by the brilliant young soul on Tabla @tejovrush with whom I also had the chance to do a small impromptu session the other day and on Samvandini (Harmonium) none other than Kedar ji @kedarnaphade 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Though Shalmalee ji didn’t sing Malvati, I had the opportunity to meet Mohan Kaka Deshpande, scholar of music and from the lineage of Pt. Yesterday's MDF inaugural concert left me completely exhausted and drained. Despite feeling tired, I managed to finish my classes this morning and was excited yet tired to drive to Suryaksha dada's Guru Poornima celebrations. However, when I heard the first DHA played by none other than @yogesh.samsi Pt. Yogesh Samai Ji, my eyes widened. Adrenaline rushed through me the entire time until I made my way home. The force that drives such maestros is truly remarkable. They come to spread the light of music once in a millennium!
