Beauty will always be wherever you look for it. I see beauty in the details of a 100 year old brick wall. I see beauty in rusty old things. I see beauty in my children's faces. The Transfagarasan road is a spectacular route that crosses the Carpathian Mountains in Romania. It was built in the 1970s by the communist dictator Nicolae Ceausescu, who wanted to have a strategic military access in case of a Soviet invasion. The road is 90 km long and reaches an altitude of 2,042 meters, making it the second-highest road in Romania after the Transalpina. The road is famous for its winding curves, steep slopes, and breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys. One of the best times to drive the Transfagarasan road is in autumn, when the scenery becomes even more stunning. The leaves of the trees change their color from green to yellow, orange, red, and brown, creating a contrast with the dark rocks and the white snow. The forests and the meadows are full of life and color, and the air is fresh and crisp.
