¡Reabre sus puertas!👏🏼 ℹ️ “The Vessel” es una estructura turística de la ciudad de Nueva York, situada en Hudson Yards. 🗓️ Inaugurada en 2019 y obra de Heatherwick Studio. 😞 Desgraciadamente, en 2021 cerraron temporalmente sus puertas debido a una serie de suicidios, en concreto 4 en un lapso de 18 meses, de varios menores de 25 años. 🐝 Su estructura en forma de colmena se conforma por un laberinto de 2500 escalones y 80 descansillos, con 45 metros de alto y 16 pisos. 😱 Nosotros fuimos en 2022, y solo pudimos visitarlo por fuera. That's why we have half baked Christians because they keep teaching them “I" “DENOMINATION" “ENCOUNTERS" “THEOLOGY" “RELIGION”. instead of “THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE" How they can talk in tongues for 12 days straight, challenge witches and wizards. ✨The High Republic Adventures Volume 2✨ Volume 2 includes the 2021 Free Comic Book Day issue, issues 6-8, and The High Republic Adventures Annual issue. This volume can be read concurrently with The Rising Storm and Race to Crashpoint Tower, as the first issue in this volume takes place at the Republic Fair. This issue lets us see a bit more of Lula, Zeen, and Ram that we don’t see in the novels. Issues 6 and 7 focus on Farzala overcoming his fear. The galaxy is changing very quickly and many Jedi have fallen in the fight against the Nihil and the Drengir so his fear is justified. But a past conversation with his Master reminds him that these are opportunities to overcome fear. I loved all the Scooby-Doo-type hijinks aboard The Vessel. Geode pops in and out of different parts of the ship so it freaks out Jabba’s thugs, Affie makes it look like she’s hiding behind a curtain but it's just her shoes so she can sneak up behind the bad guy to knock him out. Lots of funny moments in this high-stakes game of hide and seek. Issue 8 briefly introduces us to Jedi Master Sav Malagán, the sole Jedi at the temple on Takodana. We quickly find out that she is a badass and the Nihil have severely underestimated her. She is such a cool character. We will get to see more of her in Volume 3, in the mangas, and she is the main character of the Phase II High Republic Adventures comics. Lastly, the Annual issue contains 5 short stories about several of our favorite characters and introduces some new ones. This is a fun issue and I love being able to see more from this world. I think First Mission was my favorite but all of them are good. Volume 2 is full of high-stakes adventures, funny moments, friendships, and character growth. I love the Padawans and I love that we get to see so much of them in The High Republic. And of course, Geode. It appears to be nestled between the buildings of the new Hudson Yards complex with the last rays of the day reflecting off their glass facades. It’s actually situated several blocks away nearly dead-center between the Hudson and East Rivers on 34th St. I’m old enough to remember when the Empire State Building was THE tallest building on the NYC skyline, which it was until 1970, when the first tower of the World Trade Center was completed. Following the September 11 attacks in 2001, the Empire State Building was New York City’s tallest building until it was surpassed in 2012 by One World Trade Center.
