Reminder: It’s okay to reward yourself for reaching your goals. One of my favorite parts about making business goals is rewarding myself when I hit them. 🙌🏻 Sometimes it's something small, like a new pair of earrings. And other times, it's something big, like an international vacation or our new motorhome. I teach this to my students as well, because our accomplishments are worth celebrating. And looking back, it's a lot easier to remember these rewards than the individual goals, especially if they're small. Remembering how far we've come is so important because owning a business is a roller coaster of emotions. There are good days and bad days. With so much good and bad advice out there, today I’m busting 4 myths I often hear about elopement photographers & videographers. Ready? 1️⃣ You have to be super outdoorsy to be an elopement photographer ❌FALSE. You DO NOT have to be super outdoorsy to pivot into elopements. You get to create your own niche. 2️⃣ Copying other photographers will make you successful ❌FALSE. Running your business the same way as everyone else isn't going to get you more bookings. You have to find your own version of success instead of imitating others. 3️⃣ Your prices are turning people away ❌FALSE. Your prices aren't turning people away. But your marketing (or lack thereof) probably is. 4️⃣ The elopement photography market is saturated ❌FALSE. Most importantly, the market isn't too saturated, and there is room for you to create the six-figure business of your dreams.
