What makes you connect with or feel moved by an image? For me it’s the same as any art form really; I’m drawn to images that either feel familiar/have something I can see in myself and my life, or if they make me think and ponder. In my younger days I loved to visit art museums and just meander, the art calling me in and letting my mind wander. With art, the familiar is what pulls me in but the pondering keeps me staying This play of thinking and feeling is such a poignant part of the lived experience, but we oftentimes disregard or favor one over the other. The richest parts of my life contain both. What if we intentionally held space for both more often? I think we’d all feel more connected, inspired, and full. Enough of my rambling. What do you think?
