MY FEW LESSONS FROM DOCTOR RON KENOLY DURING ONE MILLION MAN WORSHIP... Dr Ron Kenoly is a Legend, an icon and a star, yet humble, free, easy going, friendly and disciplined. He doesn't like a lot of protocols too. I'll just focus on some discipline, ethics and principles I saw. If he sees you, he'll greet you first 😲. He met me just once, but called me by my names for the next 3days he saw me😳. So I was privileged to be with him at the hotel, when he was to take measurement for a dress, then an influencer walked in to have a photo with him, then he rebuked the person to respect the tailor's business. In his words, he said "Don't do that!!!, it's his business time, don't interfere in someone's business time, allow him to finish with me"😂. I felt embarrassed for the person though, but what he was saying was the truth. This person just walked away feeling embarrassed. During his rehearsal, a senior person walked in gently and was trying to whisper something to one of the backup fingers, then he rebuled the person 😂 and said, "no matter how urgent it is, seek my permission first" He said I was to be His P.A at the rehearsal, then sir DBF had an emergency call from his wife and wanted me to help him pick he stopped the rehearsal again and rebuked us😂😂😂, so I had my own share of the rebuke, he rebuked both of us, then paused the rehearsal to wait for sir DBF to attend to his wife🥲🥺 (wow). If you tell Dr Ron to be out by 1:30, he'll be there by 1😳😳😳... When he arrived at the rehearsals venue, before anything else, the first question he asked was "who prayed for this rehearsal?" then he prayed and rebuked the team on the importance of prayer in such function🥲. Dr Ron was always on time at the #ONEMILLIONMANWORSHIP venue for the 3days, he would always want to come very early and leave very late😲. There's more to say, but I think it's becoming too long already. I'll make another post. “Give, and it will come back to you, Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over. Give, and it will come back to you, When you give, give to the Lord.” This song, ‘Give to the Lord’ by Ron Kenoly was played a lot when I had just become a Christian in one of the biggest Pentecostal churches in Auckland in the late 90s. If you love this type of gospel music, you would have loved Ron’s music back then. I loved it, but as an introvert in the middle of worship and praise in a large church, there was just too much dancing and arms flying all over the place. However, as a Pacific Islander, when I hear Bible verses being sung to me in beats and rhythm like this, even for this introverted baby Christian, it birthed a heart of a worshipper in me. To touch people’s hearts, Ron Kenoly used Luke 6:38, Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you. The scripture in essence is about the condition of our hearts. Our Father looks straight into our heart-posture. He cares about our why. He reminds us as believers to examine our heart when we give of our time, our resources, our worship to Him. He longs to pour His blessings on the great things we do in His kingdom. In my short time with PKNZ, I’ve seen the amazing hearts of people for this ministry, and it continues today. We celebrate your generosity, and we pray that our Father in Heaven would continue to pour out His blessings on the hearts of those that have sown into PK.
