Con l’inconsapevolezza propria della cattiveria, l’uomo bianco non si rese conto che aveva fatto il più grosso favore possibile ai neri, perché fu proprio nelle chiese che ebbero modo si coalizzarsi, e negli anni organizzare le loro proteste. We’re delighted to announce that we will have a very special guest joining us at our gig at the Cheese and Grain in Frome, Somerset. Talented and inspiring young singer Maya will be delighting us her with exceptional voice and musicianship. Having suffered a rare brain condition at a young age, Maya endured endless visits to Great Ormond Hospital but found solace in one thing…music. During these stays in hospital, Maya’s parents would play CD’s to pass the time after which a desire to learn more and to perform was born! An old soul at heart, local girl Maya loves music from the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s, with folk, Motown and anything from the Beatles making numerous appearances on her playlists. Maya’s talents don’t stop at her singing… can also play the ukulele! Along with her Mum and other musical friends, they make up quite a band! Maya is just as excited to be playing as we are to have her join us... “I am looking forward to singing & playing for you. It's been an exceptionally busy last few months for @lekansacredfunkproject during which, with amongst other exciting projects, highlights have included the incredibly well received Birchfield Jazz Festival and the popular Simmerdown Festival!
