2023/07/09 ①② My incursion into Victoria was very brief. I didn't time it but would say it was under five minutes. I didn't even take photos at the South Australia sign... letting the top box gopro do the work. . ③④ The camera did come out at this level crossing. Whilst I had heard a rumor that the Pinnaroo line would run again this year there was no evidence at either end to suggest it's going ahead. . ⑤～⑦ In between those two locations I did have to go through quarantine. It was usual "have you got any fruit or vegetables?" before being told to carry on. Only once, at Yamba have I had to get off the bike, unload my bags and open panniers etc. . Paruna here I come. I have been a little MIA the last two weeks. Very fortunate to have had a few days break with my SA family a couple of weeks ago and then when it ‘all happened again’ we made a quick decision for me to go to my second home ( or is it first?) whilst I was able. So, for the first time I drove the 8 hours on my own from home one to home two. Rather pleased with my efforts and I know I was helped. Went to Mildura today for the first time in over 12 months! We saw first hand the length of the line at Yamba entering SA which was just crazy. Reports were that some people were in line for 3 hours & 20 minutes! Made the decision to come back via Lindsay Point Road and added an extra 20 minutes to our journey.
