The naughtiest pup around, so much so we even asked the rescue to help us find him a new home, one that was less busy as he seems to prefer more attention 🆘 But, since we made that decision I’ve had an unsettled knot of worry in my tummy and I knew it was because of this heartbreaking decision. I had a word with myself and reminded myself that when we rescued him 5 years ago, we made a commitment to him, no matter what. So even though he is a really tricky dog with a lot of behavioural issues we are going to continue working through them with him and it will get better. Plus, he’s an absolute angel with our children and I couldn’t really ask for more than that 🐕🦺 We’ve got this Manu 🐾 sorry we lost our senses for a while! #rescuedog

I was carted off to A&E yesterday. It was quite scary and dramatic but I’m glad for the diagnosis. I’ve got shingles. It’s painful, I’m feeling pretty terrible and it means everything is cancelled, including work and Christmas. But there is always a positive. This is my body telling me to slow down, to pause, to actually stop for a while. And I must listen to it. I’ve been through a lot in the last three years and in recent months I’ve also been pushing myself too hard. I’ve been focusing on work, I’ve put myself under too much pressure, and this is the result. So, although it’s not an enjoyable experience, I’m grateful for the wake up call.
