If you’ve been following for a while, you already know that I’m big on outfit repeating. Now you know that I’m big on costume repeating as well. This year, I wore the luna moth costume I made for my daughter last year. Made largely with repurposed materials from my local scrap exchange, this costume spent most of this year perched on the wall of my daughter’s room. I hate to pack away these creations of ours, so most of the papier-mâché heads (see previous posts) are also on display in our art space. it was a happy halloween I decided on Monday that I would come and celebrate halloween with my friends in Cardiff on the Friday. I had to join in on the circus theme, so I went as a snake charmer as I already owned a nice black two piece from @gaia_garments that I bought in the summer. I just bought some snake jewellery which I’ve decided I’m going to rewear next year because I want to go as Medusa! It is hard to be completely sustainable during Halloween, but limiting your impact by wearing what you already have does make a difference. Btw the @gaia_garments two piece I wore was SO comfy and unbelievably flattering.
