Le moment avec les ponettes pendant les ateliers Éleveur d'un jour sont toujours un moment de tous les défis pour les enfants. Il faut déjà : - brosser complètement les ponettes alors qu'elles bougent assez souvent (sinon ce n'est pas drôle 😅) - apprendre à faire des tresses (pas facile la motricite fine) - prendre l'ascendant sur ces boules d'énergie et qui attendent la moindre faille pour les embêter au maximum. Et cette dernière étape : prendre le dessus sur elles n'est pas toujours facile. Osez s'affirmer est parfois une vraie épreuve pour nos éleveurs d'un jour. Dire non n'est pas si facile devant ces animaux poilus. Mais ils réussissent généralement à le faire avec brio. Et quoi de plus réjouissant que de réussir à poser fièrement avec leur compagnon équin. Haven’t posted for ages! Here are some pictures from the final sail of Swallow for the season last month. A lovely calm Autumn sail on Toya that ended with a mini disaster. As I was loading Swallow on the truck she slipped and fell onto a metal post that punctured her hull, then dropped and smashed the middle bulkhead away from the side of the hull. Damage isn’t nearly as bad as it could have been and should be straightforward to fix. Style: black lager ABV: 4.7% Place of purchase: Gordon & MacPhail, Elgin This was the last Skerry in the shop, and eventually passed its “best before” date after I brought it home. I first had this back in January, but Windswept aren’t making it now, so I wanted to have it one more time before it went. It’s dark and malty with little bit of sweetness, rounded off with just a hint of dark chocolate bitterness. It tasted and smelled very much like a wheat beer this time, which I didn’t expect. In short, it’s a superb beer. Fun family day of sailing on lake Toya over the weekend. Hardly a breath of wind so after drifting around at 1 - 2 knots for a while we practiced boy overboard for a bit then took down the sail and mast and did some rowing. I’ll call that a shakeout cruise as I had to rediscover some of the finer points of sailing, such as putting in the dagger board. The water container I used to weigh down the front popped it’s top and dumped out all the water.
