This whole world is me, a reflection of myself. I contain this world which has arisen in me as an experience. Space and time are thoughts in me. I am not delimited by a subset of my thoughts. So I exist beyond space and time. I am immortal. I am free. Since I am the whole world and beyond it too, I cannot die. I exist, my awareness exists, when time itself is not there. So I was never born, I can never die. Since I am the whole world, I am not a part of it, particularly, the part which appears to me as my body. When others say I am dead, no more, and my body is burning, I see myself through the millions of others' eyes I have. When I am seeing my body burn, how could I have died? What is death? Moving awareness away from a particular time or place makes that particular time or place die. Lack of awareness is death. It's like sleeping. But, I wake up in a different body, casting away all my previous ideas into the waste paper basket of the past. Some times, I may pick up a discarded paper from the basket. That's when I remember a past life experience. The process of death is not unfamiliar to me. I can be aware of my foot. Now, I can be aware of my hand. When I am aware of my foot, I am not aware of my hand, I don't know if it was there. Next moment when I become aware of it, it came to being. Birth and death, these are continuously happening every moment. They are painless. I cannot be afraid of birth, I cannot be afraid of death, since I am not afraid of passage of time. Then why and how can I be afraid of death? Of stoppage of time? Death is my friend not to be afraid of, nor wept for. Death is a celebration, to be enjoyed, like throwing away useless torn clothes. Death does not exist. Nor does birth. Nor does growth. The world is a constant invariant. That contains all experiences which flow in time. It is full when time flows. We are all suffering from some problem or other all the time whether created by ourselves or the society we live in. Society demands conformity. We are punished if we do not conform to its standards. Most of the time we can’t solve our problem all by ourselves. We do need help. First, we do seek and get help from people known to us. But the people we know are very limited, may be a thousand in the entire human population. Next we consult internet to get help. Even that cannot solve if nature is disruptive. Nature can be violent as for example in extremes of heat and cold, tsunamis, volcanoes, hurricanes, and breakdowns of power and communications. Nature can also be wonderful and lovable when controlled. We can get unlimited abundance and powers not only from people, but also from all of nature when controlled. We call unseen controllers of Nature powers as Devas and Devis. To get help form Nature, we have to follow its law: first we have to sow before we can reap. It means we have to give first before we can get help from to controllers of nature. Help from Goddess Nature is what we really need to solve all our problems and enjoy our life in peace. We have to move from I as an individual to we as an individual. We have to join as a team and work towards a common goal. One common goal can be empowering each one of us and the team. To achieve this goal, we can create a simple team building fun event near our own homes. 2. How can we design such an event? Suppose we first draw a geometrical diagram which can attract all benign powers of nature. Such power diagrams are well known in all cultures as mandalas or chakras. Let us put each participant’s life force into a light placed in its centre. Into that light, we call powers of Fire, Sun and Moon, and all elements including time. Then we invite the unending happiness flowing from blending all feminine graces and masculine powers. मनोजवम् मारुततुल्यवेगम् जितेन्द्रियम् बुद्धिमताम् वरिष्ठम्। वातात्मजम् वानरयूथमुख्यम् श्रीरामदूतम् शरणम् प्रपद्ये॥ Manojavam mārutatulyavegam jitendriyam buddhimatām variṣṭham। Vātātmajam vānarayūthamukhyam śrīrāmadūtam śaraṇam prapadye॥ “Salutations to (Hanumāna), whose mind is incomparably swift, like the wind, who has mastered his senses, whose intelligence is par excellence, who is the son of Vāyu and the chief among the Vānaras (monkeys) and who is the messenger of Rāma. In the Śrīcakra, the outermost line of the Bhūpura or the square structure (more correctly, the lowermost step in 3D or the meru) is guarded by the Siddhis. The Bhāvanopaniṣad provides a correspondence of the Siddhis with the rasas or essence of ten emotions. Note that while emotional healing is the reason that many of us pursue a spiritual path, it is just the first step of the journey! If we can tap into the very essence of a particular emotion or its rasa, we are gifted with a siddhi, an attainment. That’s easier said than done because, to attain the rasa, we’d have to come undone and become absolutely nothing. Paradoxically, the nothing becomes everything. Hanumāna is the perfect example of this principle. He’s the greatest incarnation of Lord Shiva, the son of Vāyu, the fundamental element of creation, bestowed with unparalleled strength, wisdom, intelligence and control even over death. And YET, he becomes nothing for Rāma. Emptied of me and mine, he prefers to be known only as Rāma’s messenger. We may think that he gains all his powers because he is dear to Rāma but, no. He does so because he discards his very identity to be at Rāma’s feet. In becoming nothing, he is replete with all siddhis and rasas. We had the final day, the ninth day of Vasantha Navaratri, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Boston Sri Kalikambal Shiva Temple. The Auspicious nature of this Navaratri culminates with the appearance of our Blessed Lord Rama. Thus, Devi, as Agni, creates a positive environment for the Uttama Purusha to step in place. It is from the Agni; King Dassaratha receives the elixir from the Havan, who gives it to Queen Kausalya. 9 days like the 9 months of gestation flew by. May the impossible be possible through the grace of our Goddess🙏🏾 For those who attended, it was an unexplainable blessing and darshan to see the Mother Goddess. Lalita Sahasranama Archana was done to the Sri Chakra with kum kum, and flower/dravya archana was done to our Mother Goddess Kalikambal. For every 108 names, we offered a different type of flower or dravya to make our Goddess happy. 1. Shenpagagam flowers 2. Button rose flowers 3. Jasmine flowers 4. Bilvam Leaves 5. Mullai flowers 6. Today is Day 9 of Vasantha Navaratri at Boston Sri Kalikambal Shiva Temple in Bellingham, MA. During this Navaratri, we perform a kumkum archana of the Lalita Sahasranama. Today is the final day of this Navaratri. Often, it’s believed the first and last days are very pivotal and significant. Those who could not make any of the Navaratri days should attempt to come today. Why come to the temple? The murti in the temple has been concentrated by prana pratishta. As our tapo Shakthi grows, the murti can be seen breathing; this is when you realize the murti is not a statue but the living Goddess Mother Kalikambal. Through many forms of puja and bhajan and prayer, the divinity of our Goddess becomes more easily accessible to us. Thus, the effect is as pronounced as talking to someone directly versus on call. Every day for this Navaratri, Ambal abhishekam is performed, and puja is done per the Agama and Shaktha traditions. Every day, flower garlands and flowers are bought for Devi, and unique varieties of Prasad are made to make our Goddess happy. Every day, we do the Nitya puja for all the Gods and any special pujas per tradition. We attempt to do the highest we can to honor our Goddess. Without Her help, none of this is possible. Two types of Brahma are to be known: Zero and non zero.How did this phenomenal world of such great variety come into existence from nothing? That is the question we will ponder here. Some say, there was Naada, the primordial sound, from which everything has come into being. Naada means a vibration. For vibration to exist, there must be some thing that is vibrating, and some space in which to vibrate. When nothing- Shunya was there, what vibrates in what space? Obviously, Naada cannot be primordial. Bible says, “first there was the word, and the word was God”. I can’t make sense out of this. How can anything come out of nothing? That is the fundamental question. Only nothing can come out of nothing. Here then is the clue; we ought to investigate the properties of nothing. Zero, zero, zero. Can zero produce anything other than itself? How about , say a pair? Well, it may be feasible. Hmm, let us see. 0 = 1 – 1. Aha, let me continue. 0 = 2 – 2, =3 – 3, =1.5 –1.5, looks like zero is very fertile in producing pairs. How about pi – pi ? Why not ? How about say, 0 = x – x ? Certainly. 0 = y – y, 0 = z – z, 0 = t – t. It looks like we can create “xyz” space and “t”, time out of zero. We have hit on the very clue to create a space and time, in which some thing can move, a vibration. Methinks, creation of space-time interval precedes the “word, the Naada” Physics tells us that space and time chasing each other creates matter which is a vortex of space-time. This pair, the subject and object, jnatr and jnana, or matr and meya, have to have an interval. So much space between what I see, and me, so much time between the two of us. Together, they constitute the triad, the triputi, the tripura: subject-object-interval. So, from zero the triad can come. Not two, but three. The object is the reflection of the subject in zero. You have all the freedom in the universe Guruji Amritananda Natha Saraswathi of devipuram.org “My guru gave me total freedom; how can I do any different?” Guruji would say. “Use the mantras and rituals I teach you whenever and however you want. There is no requirement forcing you to somehow lead your life differently.” Indeed, he extended this laissez-faire approach far beyond his guru’s original concept, applying it to a broad spectrum of spiritually related behaviors. Even vegetarianism, a virtually universal practice among traditional south Indian Brahmins, is not a prerequisite for Sri Vidya initiation according to Guruji. Though personally a lifelong vegetarian, he shrugged it off as a “cultural habit” of his family, caste and region—not a spiritual one. “Non-vegetarians are eligible devotees, too,” he said. “I used to argue that, out of the 10 avatars of Vishnu, only Vamana the Dwarf is a vegetarian Brahmin; all the others are non-vegetarians. So it is a case of vegetarian devotees worshiping a non-vegetarian god!” He laughed. “Why is this? Why can’t a non-vegetarian devotee worship a non-vegetarian god or goddess? Ahimsa, is it? Non-violence? Vegetables like the kushmanda (a red pumpkin common in south India) can live for a full year after being separated from the plant. They experience pain and pleasure too, even if they can’t express it in terms we understand. Himsa [injury, harm] cannot be avoided. It is part of life. Life consumes life; that is the rule. We can’t eat inorganics and live.” It was a viewpoint fully consistent with Guruji’s general disinterest in the mundane social markers of one’s spiritual path—whether they concerned dress, diet or anything else. While he never rejected such practices outright, he did advise caution about attitudes and practices that emphasize divisions between people, or that act as “first you must do this” obstacles to the free exploration of one’s spirituality. This philosophy even goes a long way toward explaining his own simple form of dress. “To put on distinctive religious garb and set oneself apart from the rest of mankind certainly flatters the vanity of one’s tribe,” he noted.
