The last month has been a wild ride for sure for side projects. In February, we hosted the 27th Annual @magfilmfest and it was a smashing success. It would have not been possible without the help of so many amazing volunteers and the Mag Board. Cassian got his first taste of how great of an event it is and we look forward to many more! Last weekend I was a guest at the Oxford Film Festival and it was a great experience with wonderful people. I look forward to collaborating with them more in the future. ‘Hair Care’ is a playful and comedic take on the experience of getting hair done, represented in a novel way through the use of animation. Terrifying dystopia, violence, and deception are all elements of ‘Dragon Fruit’ as a single mother tries to grow a dragon fruit sprout in the hope she can one day sell it cash. Produced over the course of the pandemic, writer-director J.Brown made all the costumes, most of the props and did all the VFX on his own. "I just wanted to make something, and it started as a proof of concept for a feature, but during lockdown I had so much free time, I got really into the production design and it grew into something more.
