Life in between wars For the last four years, we, Armenians, have learnt to live in between endless wars, waged by Azerbaijan on our Homeland. People literally squeeze their "normal life" in between the series of wars: 44-day war in 2020, occupation of Sev Lake in May 2021, occupation of Parukh in March 2022, attack on Jermuk in September 2022, genocide of Artsakh in September 2023...And this list is, unfortunately and most realistically, to be continued. After fully occupying Artsakh, insatiable Azerbaijan now wants parts of Armenia proper, which is fraught with disastrous national security threats for the entire country. Thing is, Armenia's main highways, connecting with Georgia to the north and Iran to the south, run through the territories that Azerbaijan encroaches on. And, if those are occupied, Armenia might find itself in a total blockade. Today, Azerbaijan blatantly demands an immediate hand-over of 4 historical Armenian villages in Tavush region: Voskepar, Baghanis, Berkaber, Kirants. Otherwise, it threatens to take them by force, that is, to start a war. A war, which has never really ended. For four consecutive days now, Azerbaijan fires on Armenian villages almost along the entire border. People have to take shelters again, spending nights in cold basements under constant shelling...and becoming forever traumatised by the experience of war. I visited Voskepar, one of the villages at risk of the Azerbaijani occupation, last weekend. The bitter-sweet feeling is still haunting me. Will I return there again? Will I be able to show it to my children in future? Our living space is shrinking with every new day. But, somehow, we live on. We have to live on, sometimes by inertia. Sometimes by hating ourselves for doing so. But, after all, that's exactly what they want: us to cease to exist in our Homeland. Eyes on Voskepar. Eyes on Tavush. Eyes on Armenia. This is the cry of my Artsakhless soul.

Makaravank is a 10th-13th century church complex near the Achajur village of Tavush Province, Armenia, located on the slope of Paitatap Mountain. Though the monastery is no longer used for services, the complex is well preserved.🏛️ The monastery was surrounded with walls, its gate was decorated with columns. Numerous residential structures were situated in the enclosed territory. Among them were architectural pavilions housing mineral springs. Makaravank’s structures are built of dark-pink andesite and red tufa, with occasional greenish stones. Hidden waterfall One of the most beautiful places in the world is the gorge, which is located eighteen kilometers north of the city of Dilijan, where the Haghartsin Monastery is located.📍 We will walk in the direction of one of the unworldly scenes of nature. Near the mighty waterfalls there is a medium-sized shallow water, there are hidden ones, the existence of which very few people know about💁🏼♀️ This trail leads to the deepest part of the forest, to the Hidden Waterfall.
