Taken February 26th, 2016 (10 months before closing) ————- A favorite amongst Orlando locals that will never be forgotten. Wet N’ Wild Orlando opened in 1977 by SeaWorld founder George Millay with much success for those who drove by International Drive. The park would later switch ownerships with Universal Resorts in 2013. During Wet N’ Wild’s final year of operation, Florida Residents were offered a HUGE deal where if they bought one admission ticket, they got the rest of 2016 free. The photos presented were taken during my last visit before spring and summer crowds made their last splashes at the water park. The water park is now occupied by Universal’s Endless Summer and Surfside Resorts with the announcement of Volcano Bay as the park’s successor also paving the way for its definite closure.
